I was told this but also that he Doug took over Monzo negotiations as Tynan had fucked them up.

All in all he just wasn't very good at his job. As a lot on here would attest

Good move by Doug

I thought you claimed DK fucked up the Monzo negotiations?

I am pleased you found him a nice man i on the other hand most definitely didn't. He, in written emails, outright lied to me about something i knew i was right about and ended up passing the buck to someone else. I share zero sympathy.
Well no in that situation neither would I mate.....

Seemed nice enough the couple of times I met him, but can see why you'd think otherwise!

They're obviously avoiding saying he's been given the boot for not being up to the job. Not hard to read between the lines. Been lots of negative comments about dealing with him on here over the years, King came in, could see there was an issue, carried out an audit and n
now he's 'leaving'.

Reading the article looks like there's going to be more people coming in. Crazy to think how few people were employed by the club in the SISU years.
It couldn’t have been easy for any of them given they were so few in numbers

I'm really surprised to see how many thought he wasn't up to the job. I knew him years back and he's a lovely guy, surprised he and the club kept him going if he was this bad.

I thought he was a decent bloke to be fair, spoke to him a few times and always seemed alright.

Wasn’t it you that was moaning the club wasn’t getting back to people (im assuming you) about sponsorship? Apologies if I’ve got the wrong person, someone definitely had a whinge.

I can't comment on his work competency or him as a guy, however I think this is again Doug wanting to get the best in class across the whole club.

The fact he was there so long doesn't necessarily mean he was brilliant at his role, I think Dough knows that if we want to improve, we need to go up a league in every sense. This I believe is why he made this change and has made others in recent weeks/months.

Robins too will go if he feels he can't deliver.

It's not really all that surprising.

He would've been on fairly modest salary that was in line with what the club were happy to pay for a person in his position, he was a yes man to the various ill-fated CEOs that passed through over the years, and due to his experience at the club he would've had good knowledge/been familiar with many of the regular sponsors/box holders etc which the likes of Fisher/Boddy et al. would've felt was of use.

I spoke to him once as he requested to talk to me following an issue I raised on sponsorship on here. We had a laugh to be fair. He said he was amazed a was a real person. I asked if I could have Dave Boddys autograph and he pissed himself laughing.

Was a bellend to my dad on a number of occasions but sent a nice message when he was terminally ill. So, you’re a fucking knob Tynan but I am sorry you lost your job.

Cowardly? Why does the club need to humiliate an employee by posting ‘Tynan Scope has been sacked’.

It’s not even specifically in this case. Ever been sat down and told you’re being let go because of “reshuffle”, “restructure” or even worse “interior engineering”? Silly cop out to make pen pushers feel better.

It’s as bad as “touch base” and “reach out”.

I love when someone asks a difficult question "I will take that one away" - which actually means once I am out this room I will forget you ever asked that stupid question
