I think Mr Turner is struggling to keep up with the pace and direction of the delivery. 😁

Great player but can’t say I’ve ever been bowled over by him as a manager. Still, he’s here now and I hope he can make his mark as a manager as that can only be beneficial to us. Welcome Frank.

Same here; he was a key figure of the 1997-2000 CCFC team that was around when I first started supporting the club, and it's always a thrill when a former player returns as a coach. Shame it hasn't worked out
Great player, average coaching record, but Claire said he was brilliant in his interview. Hope it does well in the future. Broke the Villa hoodoo.

Happy with this. If you want a coach to bring out the best of what you've got, who better than a man who has lived it. I'm certain the players will want to impress him. I think we will see a lot of fringe players stepping up. New slate and some much needed freshness
Whilst I would love to agree with you, history would indicate UK ex quality players usually are not great managers/head coaches. We will see. Need to wait and see.

At last we have clarity, and a manager in place.
Not my choice but as a supporter of Cov I can do nothing else but support him, until I lose faith which fingers crossed won’t happen
One good thing, Lampard knows he has a point to prove, maybe his last chance to do it, so that’s a positive.
Just make us an attacking side Frank , Christ if I can watch us pass it backwards and sidewards for 95 minutes every game.

There is no hard and fast rule at all. The most successful current manager in football played at the highest level and played for his country.

He's not going to comment on January until he's seen what he's working with for a few weeks is he?

He said no discussions in relation to January , I just assumed that was something that may come up in talks in regards to the teams position and transfer policy

Maybe, but he could never have expected Simms to fall badly from last season's achievements, or equate for Sheaf being injured and seemingly still carrying a knock (Saddles said he was getting pain killing injections).

MVE's form has dropped too.

Players come in and out of form. It happens everywhere.

Sheaf and MVE are both very good players. They haven't been showing it of late though. And we have now had 3 games without Robins and still their performances haven't matched last year.

I am not surprised he said to reign in expectations.

Some players this season just haven't competed at the same levels they did last season.
I read that FL said Simms would never play for him again at Everton. Will be interesting how this plays out.

To be fair simms won't be playing for anybody of note if he doesn't sort his form or attitude out

Turner not quality checking his work 😂

Why comign back into management?

II'm a driven man. t's enjoyable getting up and working wih players, picking a team and trying to win games. This is the right chalenge. It's a project here. I have no ego to go to the Premier League. I want Coventry fans to be happy.

I wonder how much homework he has done and what knowledge he has of our current squad players to hit the ground running
He is not doing his job properly if he hasn't. Minimum requirement for any job these days.

King believes we've got a good deck of players so why would he make big commitments to January. I should imagine it's been discussed and better for the morale of the squad to not mention it.

Well king himself said that funds were available in January pre lampard .. was just surprised that him and lampard hadn't talked about this during the process of appointing him .

It's still several weeks away I suppose

I think writing someone off because they used to be a world class player is frankly silly.

FL’s track record is mixed. So was Marks before he rejoined us.
Without Adi. Think the quality of the new coaches is also crucial.
