Waghorn only scored two goals for us, one of which was a penalty.Waghorn scored 3 in his year and a half with us.
Godden has 9 so far this season but hasn't had a full 90 minutes since mid-January around the last time he scored.
It's been around 3 months without a goal for Godden similar to 3 months without a goal for Simms from end-September to end-December
Quite right - got thrown by the goal he scored for Huddersfield on loanWaghorn only scored two goals for us, one of which was a penalty.
What a strange signing Waghorn was. Much older than the normal targets, and although a free transfer, he was on big wages. He was hugely disappointing. Could of been a great foil as a No 10 behind Vik (on paper)Quite right - got thrown by the goal he scored for Huddersfield on loan

Sad part was, before he got injured / Covid that was how it was working. I see how it would've worked but other than a few games early on, it never got the chance to click and Godden stepped
Looking at him no wonder some referred to him as Fathorn, an awful signing. Didn't date Walker either ,no idea where he is now.Sad part was, before he got injured / Covid that was how it was working. shame, did you ask him out?Looking at him no wonder some referred to him as Fathorn, an awful signing. Didn't date Walker either ,no idea where he is now.
I must remember to wear my reading glasses .shame, did you ask him out?
Removed O’Hare.
Interesting next summer, don’t think there’s a single player I’d be bothered about losing.
Contract length could be useful as well, Go for instance is this guy on five yr or not, I'd hope it would be the former assuming all goes well!!Bassette added.
Priority for this season has to be Saka on a new deal IMO. Sheaf likely to leave if we aren’t promoted anyway. 2028 looking tasty.
I'd be surprised if Sheaf is here next season , maybe Wright gone too.Even if we can’t move Collins on, letting contracts expire leaves you with:
Dovin/Collins
MvE/??
Thomas/Lats
Binks/Kitching
Dasilva/??
Sheaf/Eccles
Torp/??
Rudoni/??
Saka/Rodriguez
Simms/BTA/Bassette
Wright/EMC
Going into next season. Just a couple of CMs and a couple of FBs short, and probably either sell one or two, or are promoted and are buying quality throughout anyway.
We’re in a really good position. Better than we have been since the PL.

I'd like to see a couple through the door still and get these lads back out with regular L1 or L2 sides instead. Need games and to show they're up to it to make a decision in the summer.Lampard has obviously called Burroughs and Howley back because:
1. They weren't really getting gametime.
2. So he can get a close up look at them in training and assess.
3. Boost the quality of the under 21's
This is quite a good summary of first team squad transfer status.

Telegraph doing Telegraph things.
So as it stands the squad for next year is :
GK - Dovin | Collins
RB - van Ewijk
CB - Kitching | Thomas | Lati | Binks
LB - Bidwell | Dasilva
CDM - Sheaf | Eccles
CM - Rudoni | Torp
RW - Sakamoto
ST - Haji | Simms | Bassette | Asante
LW - Mason-Clark | Raphael
out of contract that I’d renew:
Wilson | Allen
Players I’d sell:
Dasilva | Collins
means there would be 5 squad spaces, so I would fill them out with:
RB | LB | CM | RW | Utility player

Agree with CB but not CM, we could definitely cope with the midfield we’ve got with 1 extra CM added rather than replaceThink we need to get rid of a CB and get a better one in. Same in midfield TBH.

Would anyone want Dasilva and Collins even for freeSo as it stands the squad for next year is :

I bet we could tempt someone like a Wrexham to take Dasilva, Collins Im not sure although Simon Moore managed to fall on his feet and end up at Sunderland after he leftWould anyone want Dasilva and Collins even for free
why not?No way we renew Wilson.
