Gavin Williamson has just said if parents don't like the remote education provided they can report the school to Ofsted. Thanks Gav for putting your faith in us to do our jobs
My daughter began her online lesson‘s today, English, Maths, Guided Reading and back on at 2-15 for Science, it’s all gone really well and she’s loved it and I think it’s really helpful to have a regular time frame for lessons, makes it all the more well  schooly.

Haha, I’d heard that’s probably why they are both still in their positions (oh, and Williamson knows where the bodies are buried from his time as chief whip)

Yer, same for my son. The structure of the day is more familiar to him.

During a time when we’ve stripped regulations on all kinds of important stuff like education of vulnerable children, surely we can skip the fucking deradicalisation training?

Should be one module with the bare minimum in if anything.

Surely quite difficult to spot the signs of radicalisation in a two minute vaccination in any case, unless the child comes in wearing military fatigues wearing an AK47

Pleased that it's going well, do feel free to pass on to Mr G. Williamson

What would be the consequences of treating this year retrospectively as a paused year and repeating the programme next year?

And the diversity & equality nonsense can be deleted. What the hell has that got to do with giving an injection?

A lot of people, myself included, had to switch last years holiday to this year, otherwise I'd have lost all of my flight money. Well over a grand. Getting prepared to do the same this year.

Can’t you just wait until they cancel it? Then they have to give the money back. That’s what we did.

My wife is a nurse and didn’t like it the first time around and if we had curtains would have closed them. All she wants is more money (as we all do) and a health secretary that has a brain and support from above.

You mean she doesn't want somebody to clap for her while taking pictures for social media to get likes while trying to outdo each other on how much they love the NHS?

Flights never got cancelled mate. We booked hotel and flights separately. Hotel cancelled on us and gave us a full refund and a discount if we rebooked for this year. We changed our flights with Sleazyjet to this year. Astonishingly the flights had miraculously gone up in price, and it cost us a couple of hundred quid more.

It just a way to mask some of the things that are going on.

There is so much spin look at guy who had the first drop of the new vaccine administered by the director of nursing I wonder how many she has done since?

Clap for careers. They must be drilling in some 5G masts again. The do it quickly during, while the clapping suppresses the noise and the 5G can infect us.

It's like the army that built all the Nightingale hospitals.

Saw on the news that there’s been a new Covid test created by a student at Birmingham University that will give a result within 5 minutes. Says he hopes it will mean sports events, concerts, etc could return in the not too distant future.

As you know i always try and find any positive possible through this. Difficult to at the moment, but bearing in mind its a 10 day incubation period, the 'peak' of cases from the xmas mixing you think would be today, and that as of tomorrow you would expect to see at least cases start to drop?

Probably wrong again but hey ho. So fucking depressing

Yeah, was thinking the same. Fingers crossed case numbers will start dropping in coming days. Keep your chin up though, hopefully the end is in sight (even if it feels a way away !). Winter was always going to be tough, winter plus this new strain has turned it into an absolute shitshow. Just hope the variant doesn’t widely spread to other, especially developing, nations
