If old people / people at high risk want to go to the shops and socialise then they should sign a disclaimer. This is an interesting thread on compliance with the regulations. Probably isn't going to calm you down much reading it
Yeah where are the FSM parents are cashing in their vouchers...Crack den, sex dungeon etc
New variant this, new variant that.
It's taking the fucking piss now. Going to be locked down forever while some of the oaps we are meant to be protecting are living the same normal life.
The latest one is Brazil isn’t it. Guess I won’t be able to book that Holiday Village Rio de Janiero on Tui anymore.New variant this, new variant that.

Oooh new ground announcement?
Carl Heneghan is a weird case. An example in some one so highly thought of professionally can then destroy their reputation by clinging on to an obviously flawed idea instead of just admitting you have changed your mind in the face of new evidence.
If they don't have it they give up their right to a bed if they need it.I feel that way a lot at the moment. I wouldn’t make vaccination optional, people should be able to choose how it’s received but not whether to decline it
Yep that’s the barrington declaration argument. Problem is when they do they might get itIf they don't have it they give up their right to a bed if they need it.
Let's face it, statistics say that the vast majority won't even be hospitalised if they get covid. How about the at risk people of being hit hard by it don't leave their fucking house, don't have people round etc then it's pretty much impossible for them to get it anyway.
Let them get it then.Yep that’s the barrington declaration argument. Problem is when they do they might get it
4.46 million people are waiting for routine appointments and operations because we are having to deal with Covid in hospital. I understand the frustration and I think those that signed the barrington declaration agree with you and lost didn’t want to see herd immunity or lots of death just shielding of the vulnerable and keeping the economy open. I still think they are you are wrong but I understand it moreLet them get it then.
The massive majority of the country is locked down to protect the small minority of people who would be hospitalised by COVID. The strictest lockdown measures should have been on them all along.
It's alright going on about the deadly virus killing everybody but how many are just because everything else is going unnoticed while everything is covid?4.46 million people are waiting for routine appointments and operations because we are having to deal with Covid in hospital. Less than if there were no restrictions in place.but how many are just because everything else is going unnoticed while everything is covid?
Yep I think coldly, dispationately and unemotively that’s absolutely rightLess than if there were no restrictions in place.
Respect to this guy for calling out the shit peddlers.

Get everything covid in those nightingale hospitals, have normal hospitals back to as normal as possible.
Let people go about their life as normal as possible.
Less than if there were no restrictions in place.
So if there was billions to build them, staff them too.A hospital without staff is just a building. The NHS was already understaffed and its even worse with self isolation now.
I get you’re frustrated but this really is the only way until we’ve got herd immunity. Giving up now could lead to more mutations and an ineffective vaccine and this crap forever.
So if there was billions to build them, staff them too.

Heneghan has gone pretty quiet on Twitter in any case
You obviously have no understanding of the type of care somebody with covid or any other respiratory illness might need. The Nightingales are not built for it.
So what are they built for?

My mum has her appointment for her first shot a week Monday at Coventry and NW cricket club. She is cat 3 so they seem to be getting through this at a decent rate
So if there was billions to build them, staff them too.

This is what happens when you cut nursing bursaries and the things that go with it. People literally CANNOT AFFORD to train to become a nurse. You can't just pluck trained medical staff out of thin air though.
Even in hospitals they are using non ICU specialist nurses because there aren't enough specialist nurses to go round and they're having to treat 3 patients per nurse when it's usually one on one.
The underfunding chickens are coming home to roost unfortunately.
No. You will get a government approved hamper of toys and BDSM gear from a private contractor. Not exchangeable for cash
