When I got my booster they were making sure to tell everyone which jab they were getting which felt to me like it was something they were told they had to do. Slightly concerned that they tried tippexing over the word 'microchip' on the handout they gave me though, but at the end of the day the important thing is to keep safe and upgrade to Windows 11 for a new standard of design and user friendliness

Again, real world. People don't, so many shops not even enforcing it for their own staff.

Why am I going to chuck a mask on to go into a corner shop with 2 people in for some bread when I was at a football match surrounded by hundreds / thousands of other people at the weekend? What's the point?
They screwed the mask wearing thing up from the start with the self declared exemptions, something they don't seem to have in other countries. We've created a situation where anyone not wanting to wear a mask can just say they're exempt and nobody can challenge it.

The random application of the rules makes no sense as well. Have to wear a mask in Tesco but can sit in the cinema for a couple of hours without one. When the rules don't make sense in that way it just increases the chance of people ignoring them.
...so nowhere near as restrictive or authoritarian as most other european nations....
The plan b stuff is things that should have been in place anyway. Its only the things everyone was expecting to be part of the winter plan and along similar lines to what we see in other countries. Its not exactly locking everyone down like last Christmas.

What a load of bullshit. Because of a new variant that hasn't actually killed anybody and because the prime minister has been caught out again.

c**t

That's pritty much it, I had Covid last week, and didn't have any symptoms. It's nothing unless you're old, ill or fat as fuck.

Interesting. I wonder if that means football clubs will need to refund?

How will it integrate with turnstiles?
Someone didn't read the terms and conditions when they bought their season ticket 😂
1. The Ricoh Return Membership is sold on a strictly non-refundable basis.
2. Season Tickets purchased by Ricoh Return Members are sold on a strictly non-refundable basis.
If you can't get a refund for games behind closed doors you're defiantly not getting one for having to show a covid pass.

Presume it will just be checks before you get to the turnstiles, same as they check season tickets cards in the queue.

You can guarantee they will move the goal posts in a few weeks and say it's including booster. Then the next one etc.

I'm happy to Whatsapp a screenshot of my own Covid pass to anyone if they are unvaccinated.

PM me and for fifty of your English pounds I will oblige and fast track you.

It's the Tory way.

Our contract will not undergo proper due diligence, but these are times of emergency.

You'd rather they started out by including the booster then?

Only because they haven't got it into enough people yet.

Have they said how many have died or seriously ill from this new variant?

As I pointed out months ago, this is never going to end. There will always be the politics, the goalposts moving, another new variant so have to start imposing restrictions.

Get to fuck.

It doesn't make any sense, surely if the vaccines don't work against this new variant it's not going to make much difference anyway?

The cold will spread

Well that's clearly not true.

Positivity rates were highest in young children, but hospital admissions and deaths were highest among older people
Estimated percentage of the population testing positive for COVID-19 in the week ending 27 November 2021, hospital admission rates in the week ending 28 November 2021, and deaths registered in the week ending 26 November 2021, by age, England

Conclusions:
Obese patients are more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19, and are at higher risk of in-hospital death or mechanical ventilation, in particular, if young (age ≤50 years). Obese patients are also at higher risk for venous thromboembolism and dialysis. These observations support clear public health messaging and rigorous adherence to COVID-19 prevention strategies in all obese individuals regardless of age.

What You Need To Know
  • People of any age with the conditions listed below are more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19.
  • COVID-19 vaccines (initial doses and boosters) and preventive measures for COVID-19 are important, especially if you are older or have multiple or severe health conditions including those on this list.

So all 5 million worldwide deaths were old, ill or fat people?

Absolute fucking bollocks.

Can't speak for every last covid death, but I would assume, no, but the stats back up what I say.
