There is no question the vaccine has saved lives, in nearly all cases in older or vulnerable people however, but the transmission reduction has been massively underwhelming.

We are the most vaccinated we have ever been and it has still been spreading like wildfire with some of the highest number of cases ever.

I worked at the Hill Street Blues coffee shop for about 3 weeks in 1994.....what a place! .....I got paid about 30 guilders a day plus as much free weed & hot-chocolate as I could handle.....marvellous

Went back many times since......the last time I was in that place was for 2006 world cup but I've just googled & its still there & still looks sound as a pound.

The vaccine is reducing transmission, not halting it but more importantly it’s reducing hospitalisations and ICU usage which is the important thing for avoiding lockdowns (interesting though someone ok R4 today saying England and Scotland has basically the same movement data over December so England was in a voluntary lockdown despite the rules - which brings into question how much official lockdown rules matter when most people lock themselves down if the virus is at large)

I felt worse from my booster last Wednesday than I do from having covid this Wednesday.
Does that mean the vaccine works? I thought it wouldn’t work fully for 14 days after the booster?

Yep 14 days AFAIK
But you will have the residual from the initial shots plus your t cells Will be handling what your anti bodies haven't.

Oh so it’s nearly 100% of its effect within 7 days. I first showed symptoms 4 days after the booster.

You posted incorrect information into this thread and now start throwing laughing emojis around. It does not look good.

I have always maintained the vaccine is in general good, but we have lost all perspective on age and health, as well as general risk. Considering you had to lie when posting something to exaggerate, that sort of proves my point.

I am frequently finding bars (when they are open) charging 8 to 10 euros a pint. Of course, it depends where you go and if it is a tourist location etc.

I was in Oslo in 2019 and that was actually cheaper in a nightclub for a pint than it was in some bars here.

Most I’ve ever paid was something like £20 for a pint of Tiger in Singapore airport.

Making it personal isn´t really cool Grendel, and that is pretty low even for you. It just once again proves my point that you have to go to those levels in order to try and win an argument on the internet, because your facts are dodgy as fuck.

We understand the virus a lot more now than we did back then, and like anyone who has passed away from the virus at a young age, it is tragic, but fortunately it is also extremely rare. This is a world wide issue that involves everybody, if we lose sight of that perspective, then no one will have a life left any more regardless.

Not how I recall that whatsoever. You went on about young people ‘having doubts’ which actually aren’t grounded in anything that shows the vaccine is a bigger threat than the virus.
