Sadly there are no votes in doing that. I predict that the public enquiry will find our failure to have a plan beforehand to prepare for a pandemic will prove to be the biggest failing.I wonder if governments in the west will now actually plan to invest money into being prepared for future pandemics.

We were too busy on Brexit yo spend time on a plan for something like this.
Making it personal isn´t really cool Grendel, and that is pretty low even for you. It just once again proves my point that you have to go to those levels in order to try and win an argument on the internet, because your facts are dodgy as fuck.
We understand the virus a lot more now than we did back then, and like anyone who has passed away from the virus at a young age, it is tragic, but fortunately it is also extremely rare. This is a world wide issue that involves everybody, if we lose sight of that perspective, then no one will have a life left any more regardless.

For a decade maybeI wonder if governments in the west will now actually plan to invest money into being prepared for future pandemics.
Tested positive on a LF Monday and got a positive PCR test confirmed yesterday, most likely from the Millwall game.
Feel no worse than a cold/cough, n a bit feverish. I have had 2 jabs though, so not sure if that's helped or not.
I am finding that a strong couple of vodkas help
The thing is you constantly refer to personal issues yourself and expect empathy? Yet make comments on here which upset people and show no empathy
Before you said there were still some question marks around the vaccine for young people. Care to elaborate?
If you knew anything about me, which you don´t, you would know that I was an extremely empathetic person.
Again though, you are going off on a tangent which is irrelevant, it is just a deflection from your crap and losing arguments.
Your views on this issue are massively in the minority - is the forum thinking you are winning the argument? So do a poll it’s going to be hilarious - go on see whose supporting me against you - go for it.
Yes.
Young people are generally at very little risk of the virus. To some of them, getting the jab does not really seem worth it, even if there is a low risk of bad side effects, which also comes into the decision they make.
I am really not sure what is so inaccurate or shocking about that.
It's been proven that one of the main concerns raised, of cardiac issues, is a higher probability with an infection than a vaccine. What else remains uncertain?
The risk of dying of covid or of dying from the vaccine are both extremely low for young people. Why can´t you accept that?
If someone is young and has had covid already and recovered, where are the incentives for them to get jabbed? Clearly there is an issue, as younger people make up the majority of the unvaccinated.
You should ask some of your school kids and scorn them instead of me really.
Around 15 people at work positive apparantly , and I know atleast 3 wider family members of those too positive... all at ....you guessed it ... the millwall match
You said 90% of hospital patients were unvaxxed - that was false.
I said the young are not at as much risk of covid - that is true.
This isn´t even a debate. You are making shit up and the deflecting when getting called out. It is classic Grendel.
I didn’t say 90% of hospital patients were unvaxxed
90% of ICU patients are not vaccinated
I can accept it's low, I'm 31 not a pensioner either by the way. Most of the kids I teach have actually had the jab as it happens-they've wanted to know generally how it works, what any side effects may be and have decided to go for it. Uptake is about 70%.
You do keep neatly dodging the evidence that the commonly cited side effects given as reasons for not being vaccinated are actually more common with an infection though.
Some of the effects with the virus will be worse, but that is not the point really. Some of the side effects that come from the jab aren´t necessarily the same as what comes when you have the virus in its pure form. It is low risk in both circumstances, which is what I am banging on about.
People that are young will be saying why take the chance with either, I know more about the virus itself and therefore will take the chance with that. The uptake is low, start there. You are also missing a key point; what percentage of people have already had the virus? If they have recovered and got over it, where are their incentives to get jabbed? They are going to take a vaccine which might fuck them up, for an illness which they have already recovered from.
If only 70% of young people have had the jab, they obviously do not all agree with Brighton Sky Blue.
334 deaths yesterday? That seems high, is there a lag due to the recent Bank Holidays?

Yes its 4 days worth of figures

Fuck me, the irony of you saying people are happy to see people die!
I'm surprised you've got the brass neck to post it!

Interesting / worrying thread from the CEO of NHS Providers saying we've made the same mistake again of assuming London is representative of the rest of the country and that's not what the emerging picture shows.
It's worth reading the thread. He's not saying we must lockdown now. Just saying the rest of the country is not the same as London.Hes going to say that though isnt he?
Yes because it's his job and he knows what he is talking about,Hes going to say that though isnt he?
We've had enough of experts though remember.Yes because it's his job and he knows what he is talking about,
I’m sending some positive thoughts and vibes against the virus. We've had enough of experts though remember.
