Hope it stays like a cold mate. I first tested purely because I’d just got a delivery of tests. Felt absolutely fine and was shocked to be positive.
Think I’m coming out the other side now. Feel much better today.

I tested neg yesterday and today, days 6&7 so I’ve been out for a run this morning. Blinking hard work but glad to be over it without really being ill. I was knackered for two days and had a cold/sore throat but genuinely had a worse cold just before Christmas.

Well let's see I would like to see the results of studies,there is a residual benefit from the long-term memory of these cells ,regards the antibody side of things I don't think there is anything out of order to see to ascertain whether t or b cell's do indeed do the long-term heavy lifting.
I think he was saying other vax's such as valnova be were better from that perspective.

Makes sense really. He's right in that we need to focus on management of the disease, not continue with the now clearly futile measures to reduce spread....especially as the vast majority now have protection from vaccines or previous infection.
I also read they plan to stop the supply of free LFT kits to all but vulnerable settings.....good. should stop feeding this addiction to asymptomatic testing that has gripped many folks.
....added bonuses include a reduction in "cases" and single use plastics. Win win win.

It's worth noting that what AZ wanted to do was wait and gather the evidence about boosters before going into them, not that they thought automatically that they weren't worthwhile. Of course politically, it's not really possible for a government to wait for the evidence as, by definition, when you get the evidence of how long the vaccines last for,it's too late! And that's political suicide...
Also seems with hindsight boosters have indeed been needed, and been effective
Yeah, boosters appear to have been the correct shout especially with the drop off in vaccine efficacy for oldies coming into winter. Also because Omicron appears to evade natural immunity and has been so transmissible. Not sure the reduction to three month gap between second dose and booster for say under 30/40s was needed but we’ll never know
Hopefully going forwards with a level of vaccine immunity and the amount of natural immunity from Omicron, vaccines/boosters can be more focussed on higher risk but that depends on any new variants I guess.

Without data on number of people who “have died from covid” not died within 28days it’s impossible to say if we are at the point where it’s not a problem anymore. Certainly my experience in the past week is not something we should be locking ourselves away for any period of time for.

Not really but if everyone had been as selfish and refused the vaccine, the NHS would’ve collapsed and/or we’d all be stuck in a strick lockdown for weeks or months
