too many draws :)

Game of the season for me was actually Bolton at home, not for entertainment of course, but because after that game it was patently clear (to me at least) that these guys have the mentality of winners, they don’t flap, they just go and get results no matter what. Unshakeable. After that game I was convinced we were going up. I don’t ever recall seeing a mentality & ability to win no matter what the performance as good as this in my lifetime. Didn’t stop the usual pre-match nerves for every subsequent match of course...

They should end the season now. Us and Rotherham are clearly the best two teams in the league and anyone not in the playoffs already probably aren’t good enough to win the playoffs either so just have the playoffs behind closed doors from the teams already in the playoffs.
I would be beyond amazed if another ball is kicked this season, really not
Convinced next season will kick off when it should either.

I would tentatively suggest that the only thing anyone can say for sure is that the actual figures- whether it be cases, deaths or recoveries- are significantly larger than the reported numbers.
If all the numbers are incorrect, what's the point in posting that graph you keep repeating?
Not having a go, just a genuine question.

hahaha- I don’t have an answer :) Actually I do, it’s the trends it shows, it’s the best way to show so many different scales of numbers, and based on the figures reported it’s by far the best way to see where things are heading. Now that the numbers are getting huge the log scale works very well.

the good thing today was writing off the debt of the nhs trusts -will have positive long term impact
They shouldn’t have been steamrolled into this debt in the first place, this debt
Was also run up alongside a programme to introduce some of the deepest cuts
In living memory ‘Including a cull of frontline stafff and an unprecedented drop
In the number of beds and ICU beds and units.

There is a recurring theme in how the government works. They make an enormous mess of things, then they expect to be congratulated for pretending to fix the mess that they made themselves.

Don’t have a problem with people having that sentiment (although it will never happen), but The Spectator, now there is a vile publication. Home to Toby “we should just let the old people die” Young and his chums.
Did it?? I just thought it was a twitter page which gave daily updates on covid

Yeah I know, I didn’t have you down as an avid Spectator reader.. it’s full of the eugenics crowd, they said that we should let the old people die if they get coronavirus as it would cost too much to keep them alive.

The data going in is shite

You optimistic we’ll hit 100k tests a day by the end of the month? it’s a big target to set themselves which will somewhat backfire horribly if not reached
Not massively, but to be honest so much is going on nothing would surprise me at this stage. I’m pretty sure they’ll say they’re doing 100k then it will somehow come out they’re not really and it’s a lie. Put it this way, I’m not gonna split hairs if it’s 105,000 or 95,000, a target is a target- they just have to get the number up massively, and fast. USA and us are out there now as heading in the worst direction of everyone, we are all out of time to keep messing everything up. Always optimistic, but they just keep fucking everything up, that’s the problem, maybe all the bad press and scrutiny will shake them into realising people aren’t stupid and don’t particularly want to die- they have to pull their fingers out their arses and do the right thing, right now.

I can’t see ya hitting 100k tests a day as it goes on day by day they look even more out of their depth

They sure do. It’s in the papers that we knew all about the EU ventilators and even attended meetings, but then declined it, which just shows the lying and bullshitting about ‘missing emails’. Everything has been messed up and that’s why you see our figures spiralling badly.

We have some great brains in universities and labs- shouldn’t have taken a private investor to fund those new pieces of equipment but the govt have (bewilderingly) rejected offers of help from the universities and labs, so I’m glad he did. I have faith in pretty much everyone trying to deal with this apart from the government.
