Yeah he did himself over with that one to be fair.

I did pos earlier in this thread schools should back in August not June as it would give more time but transition years should have some prep

He and Ian both said it would be giving up our holiday. One of my best mates is a head of department - he works hard for sure but the whole ethos is based on unionised projection and 1980 thinking

So the bloke drove miles away and people are losing their shit but never had an issue with paramedics mingling on a bridge with the public in their hundreds?

I don't get it.

1) Loads of people had an issue with the bridge people. You keep getting told this and ignoring it.

2) The people on the bridge aren’t part of the government setting the rules who hounded out a scientific advisor for doing less not so long ago

Indeed. It's utterly absurd that we have cabinet ministers actually telling the nation that a 60 mile round trip to test your eyesight is normal and acceptable. Even though it's against the law.

The sheer contempt they hold for us is ludicrous. Yet their loyal followers can't see it.

Have you demanded Steven Kinnock resign for going to his self entitled old mans birthday party - can you show me a link to your outrage?

Party of Strong and Stable doesn’t get to whine about other party’s message discipline.

Also feedback to constituents not the same as party messaging. But you knew that.

The hypocrisy is staggering - soon we will have teachers terrified of the infection rate outraged they may have to to go and teach and instead board a crowded plane to a Greece

I don't think you know what the word hypocrisy means.

IMO a large part of the issue, and why this is remaining a story, is the response when Cummings was found out. Rather than just admit he was wrong and apologise the entire Conservative party has doubled down to try and cover for him.

We've had the likes of Shapps and Gove sent out to cover for him and a constantly changing story riddled with inconsistencies. And thats before you consider how it stacks up against the account Wakefield has given multiple times.

Not to mention in trying to defend himself he's said he's gone back into work when he should have been self isolating, carried out unnecessary travel to Chequers and the laughable testing his eyes excuse for going to a local beauty spot with his wife and kids on his wife's birthday.

He did something wrong and got caught. Own up and apologise. Obviously the problem now they're so far into a web of lies and misdirection he would have no choice other than resign, or be sacked, if he does finally own up.

Didn’t you initially claim that the bloke who went to Give his parents food somewhere in Herefordshire was ok?

What’s the view on Mr Kinnock?

Kinnock should resign too. What's your point?

But if you can't see the difference between the Kinnock situation and the Cummings situation then you're either so utterly deluded by your love of the Tories or you're on the wind up.

Why is it that blokes who claim not to care about politics always fall over themselves to defend the Tories? Weird that

2 No one cared including you
3 Mr Cummings isn’t even a party member

Worst bit of this for me is the media ignoring all the positives at the moment.

The WHO saying a second wave is now really unlikely. The plummeting figures and good news stories now coming from around Europe. The scientific evidence showing the virus is all but dying out.

Why arent they asking questions about this? Why are they not asking when people can see family again? Is it true that due to the above reasoning that we can get back to normality faster than thought?

No its the same question about cummings. Pathetic

His point is “but labour!”

The plummeting figures and news stories coming from Europe are due to a completely different approach, how do you not understand that?

The WHO has said the exact opposite to that. It has warned of an immediate second wave if measures are lifted too soon. Ergo, the disease is not dying out naturally.

From what I can see the WHO are saying globally we are still in the first wave and if countries reopen too quickly there will be a second wave.

And where are you hearing about these positives if not the media?

It’s been all over the media in the last few days that deaths are drastically down throughout Europe.

Actually they said: “Who are you? (Who are you? Who, who, who, who?)”

3 Mr Cummings isn’t even a party member

1 - Neither has Cummings
2 - He visited his parents and went home. He didn't travel almost 600 miles. He didn't go out into the public. He didn't set the rules for the country.
3 - he appears to be the de facto PM. And has brought the party into disrepute. And has cabinet members defending his pathetic lies.

Of course you know all this, but choose to ignore it.

The ONS have reported today that deaths in England and Wales last week were 3800 - that’s over 500 a day still.

Anyone thinking this is over is not paying attention.

Didn’t they say something like a second spike within the first wave... never mind a second wave.

Have you got a link for this please? Sounds great if true but everything I am seeing is the opposite.

You're more intelligent than this ridiculous whataboutery. FWIW I wouldn't have an issue with Kinnock being sacked.

If this persists as a news item for another week he will go - he should have resigned anyway - he’s placed his boss in a very difficult position

The anger though is more at the individual than the crime
