Appalling from Johnson in this committee.

It's embarrassing that this man is Prime Minister. I don't know how anyone could look at him and think yeah, I'm going to vote for him to be PM. It's inconceivable. It could only be through a blind allegiance to Brexit or a strong hatred of Corbyn that you'd vote for him.

Thankfully people are starting to see it, albeit too late.

Literally his only response to the questioning was 'it's time to move on'

That's not how it works you useless prick.

DC admitted the charges against him were true.

Boris has just told multiple mps live on the bbc that he has seen evidence to show DC is innocent of the charges against him but he won't release the evidence.

Well done Boris you've just created the next rod to beat you with.

Brilliant from Cooper.

Predictably awful from Johnson. Has he ever answered a question in his life? (except maybe 'would you like to look after the kids this weekend Boris?')

Not sure who thought it was a good idea to put this guy up against all these questions without a baying crowd behind him, wasn't really a smart idea though

Tbh with you it really would be better to get on with holding him to account over the myriad other problems. Grandstanding over Cummings is a waste of time imo.

Yup and I suspect he'd rather be quizzed over DC than care homes, testing, track and trace etc etc

The bit when he didn't know what no recourse to public funds meant was shocking

Still no tested figures,

2k positives (up)
412 deaths (up)

As for Johnson, I agree an inquiry into Cummings is a waste of time. Let's have a far wider ranging one into Johnson and his cabinet.
Yep. The way Boris and his cabinet have rallied around defending and trying to add credibility to this fairytale is beyond ridiculous. The whole lot need investigating. This is The Tories dressed up dossier.

Its actually a bit boring- everything is the same

"Brilliant question- we will do whatever it takes, everything is going to be brilliant, we are going to achieve everything, we are going to roll out a huge package of actions"
"Can you tell us how you will do that"
"No"

Track and trace starting tomorrow! Great news to help us get out the lockdown

It might be if it wasn't being run by the person who was boss of TalkTalk when it suffered one of the worst data breaches in UK history.

Perfect candidate to put in charge of such an app!

Genuine question.

Have you ever worked on a large scale it project?

You are going to need a lot of time to fix any unforeseen issues.

It's the nature of it roll outs

All he can do is turn to the jokes and posh clown act and hope it deflects pressure or at least gives the impression he's not feeling it. Number one in the death table, he should have resigned already.

Haha he got absolutely skewered by Jenkins at the end there...

From a strategic point of view Johnson is in big trouble.
He's changed the message and let Cummings off the hook.
If there's a second wave now the only scapegoat he's got our the general public who have been increasingly ignoring restrictions over the last fortnight.

If he tries to blame an already angry public he's toast. The only hope he's got is if we start to see some real reduction in cases and deaths.

Good news its starting up but very bad news that we don't have a working app ready. There was a senior chap involved in the track and trace testing on the IoW on the radio while I was driving who said they estimate that when collecting data manually rather than by app they miss around 75% of the required data.

It's absurd. All he/Cummings had to do was apologise, say he was in the wrong, and it would have been brushed under the carpet.

The way they have doubled down is just so stupid on so many levels, and I think they are probably realising it now!
