Some tweets from the chair of the C&W STP saying that basically local authorities have taken it upon themselves now in the absence of central govt.Contact tracers in England get no data from 26% of people with coronavirus
World class from the 1st of June
That works out at an average of 8.7 contacts per case. By comparison in New Zealand they have traced and contacted over 300 people from the two people from the UK who tested positive and they were advised to minimise contact with people as they were allowed out under a compassionate exemptions to the quarantine rules. Some tweets from the chair of the C&W STP saying that basically local authorities have taken it upon themselves now in the absence of central govt.

These are the people in charge. How is anyone supposed to have any confidence?
Old news. I linked an article to this week’s ago and in turn that article was already weeks old. Just something for the idiots to tell the idiots so the idiots can get excited about so they can think the government are doing a great job because they’re clueless.
Great news, let’s fucking hope it does pay off

I don’t think they even know if it does that yet. It’s being made in anticipation that it might do something. Is this the vaccine that doesn't give immunity but reduces the seriousness of the virus in people who do get it?
If so we spoke about this 2 weeks ago

Anyone who listened to the talk talk enquiry would know that woman should have not been anywhere near this project.
Still, I'm sure she's pocketed a few Bob of our money.
Absolute bollocks once again from you, they aren’t doing it to make people think they are doing a job, they are saying it to inform us on the progression.....any news will never be good news to youOld news. So that when it hopefully gets approved they can get it out straight away? Common sense isn’t it?What do you think of them making a vaccine that hasn't been approved yet? Not having a go just curious
And how does that make the government look good as tony would say
So that when it hopefully gets approved they can get it out straight away? Common sense isn’t it?
Tony's point, unless I've got it wrong, was that they've dragged up an old 'good news' story today to try and distract from their track and trace disaster. And how does that make the government look good as tony would say

Common sense would be when setting up track and trace to use a proven, readily available app instead of giving the contract to a company headed up by the person responsible for the biggest data breach (es) in the country's history but we went with the latter option.
I can't help but suspect they'll be a similar vaccine related fuck up.
And if it doesn't?So that when it hopefully gets approved they can get it out straight away? Common sense isn’t it?
Because if it's not passed or needs to be altered it's a big waste of money, raw materials and brainpower.
You would hope that this isn't just wishful thinking and there is a good chance the vaccine will work. How much is being spent on production before we know if it works? To be fair, AZ are more than reliable enough to take on the job of producing it but I don't agree with rushing it before it's even been approved.
It is, they keep bleating on about the money they are pumping in to keep the economy afloat but they are fucking it with their incompetence.
It was good news. Two weeks ago when I first heard about it. It’s just old news now. Unless you’re easily duped.Absolute bollocks once again from you, they aren’t doing it to make people think they are doing a job, they are saying it to inform us on the progression.....any news will never be good news to you

If the UK is still intact by 2030 it'll be a miracle

Do you really need someone to explain to you why this government is full of idiots after 40000 deaths brought around by the highest death rate in the world. Surely it’s self explanatory. And how does that make the government look good as tony would say
Exactly.Tony's point, unless I've got it wrong, was that they've dragged up an old 'good news' story today to try and distract from their track and trace disaster.
Exactly.

They've merged phase 2 and phase 3 into one trial to speed things up.Unless they are doing away with the 3rd part the next step would be to let other research departments around the world conduct controlled testing to see if they get the same results.
They've merged phase 2 and phase 3 into one trial to speed things up.
Hmmm. I know it might delay things, but personally I'd be happier if they followed usual process. They've merged phase 2 and phase 3 into one trial to speed things up.
