Oh what and wait years and years? One of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen, we need to end this and fast so it doesn’t keep coming backHmmm. I know it might delay things, but personally I'd be happier if they followed usual process.

He was on about just waiting until the prototype had been approved you dunce. That won't take years and years.Oh what and wait years and years? One of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen, we need to end this and fast so it doesn’t keep coming back
You realise those two statements completely contradict each other?Oh what and wait years and years? One of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen, we need to end this and fast so it doesn’t keep coming back
Because if it's not passed or needs to be altered it's a big waste of money, raw materials and brainpower.
But we can’t wait years for it, how is years of it coming back going to do any goodSo we need to be sure the vaccine a) works and b) is safe for use. Just rushing it out does more harm than good.
Haven’t heard that one in years loldunce.

Depends how many you have to do it with. Opening up the economy fully six months earlier will be worth trillions, as long as you don’t waste much before you hit a vaccine you’re up. Of course if there is no vaccine you throw billions away for nothing. Or if it goes away anyway.

Exactly a few months which we are doing nowIt wouldn't take years to get enough test data to be satisfied that it works and is safe. Would you be happy taking an untested medicine? Of course not.

Yes it is a problem though! So fine the testing all works and it’s approved! Then we’ll have to wait weeks/months for it to be scaled up and available to use.....thankfully the government are making it so that once it hopefully gets approved it will be straight away given to those that most need itWell yeah we're testing it I just want the testing done before we start making it. It's not a big problem surely?

It’s crazy what you are suggesting, basically that if one works we’ll then have to wait months for it to be scaled up to give the public
There's over 150 vaccines in development. Should we mass produce all of them before we know they are effective and safe?So fine the testing all works and it’s approved! Then we’ll have to wait weeks/months for it to be scaled up and available to use
All I'm saying is get enough evidence that it works and has no unintended side effects. Otherwise you're asking people to take a placebo-that really is the crazy thing to do, no disrespect.
Utterly stupid to develop a vaccine properly? My word, you're a moron and a half.Oh what and wait years and years? One of the stupidest comments I’ve ever seen, we need to end this and fast so it doesn’t keep coming back

You’re talking like we have a choice. You do realise that this drug failed when tested on animals? But we can’t wait years for it, how is years of it coming back going to do any good

Mass producing it ready in case it works isn’t ‘short cutting it’I don't want to be given something where process is shortcut, either. By all means accelerate it, but don't shortcut.

But I don’t get how combining the stages to try and end a world pandemic as early as possible could be bad in any way? Like it has to be pushed quicker than anything elseHe was clearly referring to the combining of testing stages 2 and 3 as being the "shortcut".
