When he comes out of the tunnel he should geta hearty round of applause. Maybe even a quick rendition of his song provided it is followed immediately by one for Lampard.

During the game, he shouldn't be considered at all.

Would be fine with more applause etc at the end but unlikely. If we win he's hardly going to hang around the pitch to acknowledge opposition supporters and if we lose can't see many of the supporters being in a generous enough mood to give him much applause.

I want us to win this and after the match give Mark a great reception.
He was brilliant for us for seven years. Not many Cov managers you can say that about.

Do people really think if we hammer them, he's going to be doing a lap of honour?

Lampard and Robins doing a after match lap of honour, now that would be funny.

No...no one's saying that.
He manages another team. If we hammer them he isn't going to stand about getting a "reception" from city fans after the game.

Pretty much in the post I quoted.

Don't doubt there will be a tiny minority of strange fans like the ones loving hamer who will still be loving it if they beat us though.

FFS, no one is saying he’s going to go round the pitch for an ovation at the end of the game, win, lose or draw.

Quite a few are saying that it would be nice to recognise his achievements and time here, with a decent round of applause before the game. Then it’s all Cov.

I don’t know why you’re getting yourself worked up about it so much.

Its a round of applause FFS to show some appreciation for what he did here as he didn’t get that when he left.

Try reading what I am replying to, the bit clearly saying to beat them THEN give him a reception. So yeah, they are saying that and that's what I replied to.

Yeah. That's the way to go. Give him a warm round of applause when he takes to the dugout and then do everything we can to grab the 3 points and concentrate on that.

I don’t get the applause at all. He’s gone and is irrelevant to our future.

No, but then you do have a bit of a weird aversion to Robins.

I dunno, perhaps you enjoyed supporting a team pissing around the arse-end of League 1 more. Which would be fair enough; it takes all sorts to make a world after all.

I have said before that we might miss the start so you can all clap away and if I get there I won’t be clapping. He was great for us but was deservedly sacked you can’t go through the season saying it will get better because it has in the past.

Well with that attitude, what's the point in anything? The Jimmy Hill statue - he's gone and is irrelevant to our future.

Well said you, some people just don't have in any empathy.

I supported the team for 29 seasons in the top flight so not really

Because of the brilliant job he did for us.

If he had just left, then no, that would be different, but he wanted to stay and was sacked.

I think generous applause is the least we should do.

He deserved to be sacked. Do other fans behave like this - I just think it’s odd.

Where are the mad hatters?

There's a picture on Facebook of the two mad hatters at the Leamington and Warwick supporters club on the same night I think, having their picture took MVE and Binks.

It's nearly 20 years ago, but Alan Curbishley got a decent reception when he returned to Charlton with West Ham... he also got a 4 nil beating... so hopefully we can do something similar.

Personally, I will not care a jot about Robins as I'll be still crying over Hamer from November.
