To be honest I'm not sure he will be that bothered. He's just had a 7 figure pay out from us and will get the same from Stoke when they get rid. Probably never have to work again if he doesn't want too.

The average term of a Stoke manager is 17 months by all accounts & going off another abject performance last night , the knives may well be out for Robin’s to part company already ?
Let’s just hope that they are as useless , when they turn up at the CBS , as we owe them for our opening day under performance ?

Spot on.
He's been left with a squad depleted by injuries and a bench of kids/players not good enough. Should be an easy win.
A round of applause to show our appreciation before the game. He saved us from oblivion no matter what angle someone wants to take it from. We've had exciting years we couldn't even dream of. He took us to a penalty shootout from the Prem. A toenail from only our second FA cup final in our history. But it's all history now.
What matters the most is 3 points.

I was surprised how quickly Robins jumped back into management. I thought he would of had a bit of time off/ retired after leaving us.

The Stoke fans are worried he has lost the changing room and is already throwing the players under the bus .. They are also noticing team selection, substitutions and tactics are inconsistent which is matching team performance. I honestly watched and listened to his post match interview yesterday, he looks tired and frustrated, a lot like he did before DK sacked him with us. Worrying times for him as although he has has inherited a squad and injuries, he isn't getting a reaction from the players the club or fans expected.
Could be a very short stint at a club not known for showing patience, hope for him it gets better apart from against us.

Terrible team selection . No press no urgency and defence who looked like they couldn't be arsed
I rate Robins but why can't he seem to motivate the players to give 100% from the off.
Our team is passive and lethargic and look like they either don't care or just not good enough for this league

Robins is quite clearly a manager who can squeeze every bit of potential from a limited squad as opposed to an expensively assembled squad of egos as we saw this season and we are now seeing at Stoke
I do think his style of management was perfectly suited to Millwall when the job come up, other than the fact he lives nearby I thought in footballing terms taking the Stoke job was an odd choice - Though his bank balance and potential pay off if they can him will say otherwise

I tend to read forums of the teams we are about to play, just to get an idea of the general feeling within that club. Or where we have a players on loan to see what others think. That would be common I would of thought of all fans, not so much constantly reading other random clubs forums.
The MR one was I watched the Boro game and listened to the interview after, MR words sounded very familiar towards the end of his time with us. Which made me look at the forum to see if the fans were seeing the same limitations regarding selection and tactics. He talked about effort, not doing as they were instructed, not knowing why they don't, giving teams a leg up, starting slow, injuries etc...May be it's just me but he sounded flat sort of understanding of what might be coming.

On Saturday week I will hold two ideas completely in conflict with one another. I want City to win and I don't want Mark Robins to lose. Ultimately the desire for City to win will prevail, but tinged with sadness.
Mark Robins got me back into being an active rather than passive City supporter, during his first brief stint. I always felt that even if we were relegated from the Championship we should stick by him, as we were all on a long term project together, although I will grant you that things were clearly not good at the start of this season. He is my sort of manager - slightly dour, pragmatic. Not a dandy dan.
He is the greatest Coventry City manager of all time, and I was around for Jimmy Hill. He took over when the club was in a worse condition and operating in a far more competitive landscape than Hill's time. Two promotions, one play off and a cup semi final (and a temporary stint in Brum) in seven years was immense. Curiously both Hill and Robins buggered off at key moments but I would argue Hill's departure was far more hurtful - it was just when we needed him most.
Before we get too ecstatic about Frank - don't forget the concept of 'New manager bounce'. If you remember Robins had the exact reverse. New manager slump - "Taxi for Robins" anyone? But he came back from that.

Robins isn't our manager, why wouldn't you want him to lose against us and feel sad?
He doesn't manage Coventry City now, why would a Coventry City fan be sad if he loses games at Stoke?

Mark’s achievements with us won’t go anywhere. He’ll be legend in our history but he comes as the Stoke City Manager.
That history won’t matter to him trying to beat us, it shouldn’t matter to us. Let’s give him a send off once he’s given us three more points.

Should be happy for what he did. Things change you have to move on. Fact of life. Robins acknowledged this.
Robins got the club back from the doldrums. But I would give Robins a clap before the whistle blows,then we need to put them to the sword early and beat them by a few goals.After we celebrate and I won't worry if it gets Robins the sack as we have moved on but I thank him for getting us here.

10 mins before kick off a rendition of 'One Mark Robins' shows respect and is immediately followed by 'Super Frank' Then it's down to business. No reacharound. Smash him 4-0 and hopefully a nail in the coffin. After the game he'll be down the tunnel if they lose, we'll be gone from the ground if he beats us. No sentiment, but a small appreciation before is fine and balanced.

This is sensible. And tend to agree.
MR is a legend, he did more than just football, help connect fans, people, the community again and gave hope and belief, more important than results in some ways.
Acknowledging him before is fine for me, however for me, there will be more appropriate times to give him the full treatment, week Saturday is not that time.
Lampard is our manager and we want 3 points badly, hope we hammer them.

Mark and players did what was needed to get to FA cup final.
Someone / some organisation interfered on that.
