Yeah, but it's then the length of time players are taking to take the throw in. THAT is the problem, so like I say, ball goes out, clock keeps ticking. The second the ball gets into the throw in takers hands, the ref puts them on a timer.Just for info-when the ball goes out of play is part of the game. No need for time added on for that.
Very frustrating day and top it off my missus says her and the daughter are waiting for me at the Arena shopping centre after the game. So, I go and meet them and ask where the car is and she says she left it where they left me, right down the end of the road of Lythall's Lane where it meets the road going into the Arena by Burger King. They just parked up and went shopping. Of course we came back to the car to find a parking ticket and a £70 fine.
Don't mean to be mean, but how dumb is that? As I said to her, why does she think I don't just take the car and park up myself every week? Why does she come and collect me most matches? She just looked at me gone out.
Totally daft though. She's known for years that I could only park at Tesco and then known for the last two years or so that I could no longer park there either. I either walk now or she drops me off at Lythall's Lane and then some games picks me back up again from the same place. If cov had won your mrs would have got away with that one.
Have you ever seen a team though start to time waste from the 8th minute? The way Robins plays its a game where not losing is what he want and if we nick a goal all well and good try and go undefeated is his plan .yesterday 9 shots 2 on target pretty low 2wins and 1 defeat gives you 6 points . You don't see top teams in any division saying i've got a draw I must protect it Luton lost to us but they have made up for that since . As for time wasting a certain guy who plays in green for us is not the quickest at taking kicks of any sort unless we are behind.

Just don't know how she got it in her mind to just leave the car there, cos surely if she could leave the car there I could just take the car every game and leave the car there myself.
Numpty!!
Yup. Unfortunately.Lol
Is it too late to trade her in.
That's the thing, people seem to think he is going to sell on or move players he has just signed or extended.I don't see who you can shift on tho, this is his and TW squad that they hand picked. It's only Kyle Reid who's due back in January and Jordan Turnbull who's on a season long loan who they really inherited that's possibly surplus with Kwame Thomas who can only leave for Sutton or Solihull.
Ben Stevenson and JJ are the only other two who they didn't offer a deal to in the summer.
The rest is there players or players they choose to offer new deals to. If your hoping to shift out Beavon or vincenti I think you could be disappointed. There both only 6 months into new 2 year deals.
Since MR came back he's signed 13 new players, 6 renewed contracts, 2 extended contracts, and 5 players who he's inherited excluding academy players promoted.
You know what she said when we found the ticket? That it was my fault we got a ticket and that it was my fault because I said she WOULD get a ticket as we started to approach the car.Hope she's not reading this Otis or you will get "Numpty!!"
We would be getting 120 minute games the way the players roll about the floor banging their hands on the grass in ultimate pain and then getting up and running around as soon as they call for the stretcher. It's time for the sin bin if you ask me or a rule that says if a player requires treatment for more than 3 minutes then the player must leave the pitch for 10Just for info-when the ball goes out of play is part of the game. No need for time added on for that.
I didn't see him get booked. Was that right at the end? I left with about 3 minutes of added time left, just as they got a free kick inside our half and were again slowing everything right down.Is Rod McDonald now banned as he picked up his 5th booking.
Will the ban carry forward to fa cup or Morecambe? Or has that time frame window passed?
It was the last game before a clean slate too.Yeah right at the end, he got booked for very clumsy late challenge. So does he miss a game? I hope he doesn’t miss Morecambe, hopefully he’s banned vs Boreham Wood.
That’s the first time this season I’ve looked at Rod and thought...hmmmm that’s why you are not playing at higher level. No pace. Still my player of the season so far. Looked tired.
Could have been very costly.
To a degree, Johnny, but I still think teams would come and defend, sit back and try and nick a goal and of course if they did get a goal it wouldn't then stop them going back to the tactic of time wasting and trying to kill the game once 1-0 ahead.0 points for a draw solves this overnight.
We've had the exact same debate before in general about fans drifting away from the game because of all the cynicism and cheating etc. Not just about yesterdayIs this a serious debate aboit changing the rules of football because a team stopped cov winning?!
Hahaha
Having seen so much blatant time wasting this season, at all levels, I think the only way to sort it would be to stop the clock every time the ball goes out of play, and cut the game down to 70 minutes of actual football - at the moment, we pay for 90 minutes and get about 50 - 60 if we are luckyDon't think it is justified at any time. I hate it when we do it to. The only way to stamp it out is if referees add all of the time wasted back on. Today's two minutes in the first half and six in the second was no compensation for what Crawley did. First time I have seen that from the physio though.
It should help if refs show yellow cards no matter if it's the fifth minute or 90th. Warn them first, then it's a yellow.Having seen so much blatant time wasting this season, at all levels, I think the only way to sort it would be to stop the clock every time the ball goes out of play, and cut the game down to 70 minutes of actual football - at the moment, we pay for 90 minutes and get about 50 - 60 if we are lucky
It's a ridiculous concept this of a bad tackle being in the first minute. A bad tackle is a bad tackle. Doesn't matter when the tackle is made.It should help if refs show yellow cards no matter if it's the fifth minute or 90th. Warn them first, then it's a yellow.
We see it now as teams are happy to come and get a point.
Their tackle early on should be been a red. It's a ridiculous concept this of a bad tackle being in the first minute. A bad tackle is a bad tackle. Doesn't matter when the tackle is made.
Need to do something about dissent too. Their centre half yesterday was constantly trying to get Beavon booked and moaning at the ref, despite nearly every challenge being an honest and fair one.
You are joking? Time wasting is chronic, particularly so in this league and is the biggest driver in making games so dull. It has a much bigger impact on the game as a spectacle than diving or poor refs. Yes you want your team to win, but sport is supposed to be about entertainment, which can come from a dodgy refs decision or a poor piece of defending or goalkeeping. Entertainment isn't about a player strolling from halfway up the pitch to take a throw, or a goalkeeper taking an eternity over collecting a ball and carefully placing it on the correct blade of grass, or feigning injury to stop the flow of the game, or shaking hands with everyone before slowly trudging off when subbed, or overly celebrating a goal to delay the restart. As you can probably tell - It drives me nuts!!Noone is driftin away because of time wasting
Address diving and non stop whistles from ref first
When players time waste you don't get a fast flowing game. Definitely affects your enjoyment. You are joking? That's where people get confused regarding dissent. An opinion about a decision is not dissent. Not agreeing about a decision is not dissent. Talking to the ref is not dissent. Blatantly shouting at the top of your voice about it would be. Also it depends on the tolerance of the referee, he might have a high tolerance level or a low tolerance level. People also go on about consistency, the only way you would get consistently is if you have the same referee all the time as two referees would see the same thing differently. It's a ridiculous concept this of a bad tackle being in the first minute. I don't think I am confused about dissent though. The player kept arguing with the ref at the decisions and kept throwing his arms about. Regarding Beavon and the central defender yesterday trying to get Beavon booked, the likelihood is that would make the referee go the other way and penalise his own team anyway.

He does do that for sure. About time refs clamped down on it.Doyle is the worst player I’ve seen for doing that this season.
As I understand it , 5 bookings before the end of November , then you miss the next game .Is Rod McDonald now banned as he picked up his 5th booking.
