You just don't need 2 defensive midfielders with 3 centre backs on the pitch. Shipley should be playing higher but he's clearly been asked to do Kelly's role and it's not needed. His passing has been woeful today but if Shipley is 10 yards ahead he has 1 more option that isn't backwards or sideways.
