So, I do feel Wright is not physical enough to play the central role and if he is scoring goals where he is - why move him. I've nothing against EMC and do feel a bit sorry for him

I was merely suggesting that it was worth trying.

We bought Wright as a central striker and it may be that, having found some goalscoring form, he can continue scoring from that position.

EM-C has a tremendous record - yes, in league 1 - for both scoring and creating goals. Can he repeat this in the Championship? I have no idea but we need to play him on the left to find out.

The rationale for trying it is that we may get more goals and assists from EM-C without losing goals from Wright. It might not work but I think we should give it a go.

What we are doing at the moment isn’t working.

Wright has never looked that good/comfortable receiving the ball with his back to goal which is essential for a lone striker, don’t think it suits him at all tbh

Only 2 things more fickle than owners…. Fans and players …

If it’s not turning round King won’t have much fan unrest if he makes a change as long as it is an exciting one
Fickle word you hear a lot in football, so after following the club since 1967 ,

Currently 2 Nd from bottom too if Portsmouth win.

Yes - please don't take it that I was dismissing your view. I certainly see the 'what we are doing ATM is not working' counter argument. I just feel that the key issue right now is probably more confidence more than formation so I'd go with playing players where they have been comfortable in the past... but who knows. It does feel a bit like we are locked into a death spiral. Really need the fans to be up for this game.

good stat this season, when we score more than 1 we don’t lose 😉 3-1 cov, they’ll still be knackered from weds, we def won’t be knackered from Tuesday, we tactically saved our energy for this game, master stroke, 4 points from 2 games 👍

It won't happen (and assuming Eccles is injured)

-----------------Dovin
MVE-Thomas-Binks - Dasilva
----------Torp----Sheaf
Saka------Rudoni---------Wright
------------------Simms

If we look at all the forwards, they're probably better running at defenders. Even Simms with his physique can't trap a ball.

So maybe we should play more like that, playing in behind a defence rather than AAATB. Maybe it'd force opposition to defend a bit deeper and we get a bit more space to create in midfield.

I’m in Turkey but obviously keen to watch the game. Any ideas what station / how? Not had to use my usual go to dodgy stream yet this season and typically it isn’t working today….

I’m just waiting for the underwhelming release of the team sheet once again to find Simms up front, possibly with BTE in the team 🤦‍♂️

I do accept your point of view as well.

Like all of us I guess I’m just desperate for us to do better and keep looking for any possible way in which that might be achieved.

I guess I should leave it to the expert (Mark Robins) to do that 😊 I for one haven’t given up on him. I would love nothing more than for us to get promotion under his stewardship, almost as a reward for everything that he has done for us.
