by the looks of him he doesn't seem to believe atm, hopefully that will come and hopefully sooner rather than later...look at what was said about Hadji and Simms and they both turned out okCan see it with Asante. No idea how Mason Clarke is worth £4m tho
Cold light of day and all that
Oxford could seriously go down if that is them being "good", they offered nothing that we didn't gift them on a plate.
Other teams won't waste the bags of chances we did.
We looked pretty good going forward, just got to not be so wasteful but once it properly click s we will start gubbing teams
I noticed with Lati that when he got the ball he was playing it to Binks for him to forward pass not sure if that was by design or just hisCrikey, there’s some rot on here. We’ve absolutely battered Oxford and played sublime football. I know it’s frustrating if we aren’t winning but come on, that was superb. We’ll destroy a lot of teams this year. Wright, MVE, Saka, Binks superb. Also Lati had a solid game. I had my doubts but he was decent.
Was in the Longford Engine before the match and a group of their lads were utterly embarrassing themselves, think there was even a table of Oxford fans who were cringing at themThe village mob from Oxford stood gawping at the Coventry fans before the game and couldn't believe their eyes and ears at the end.
Absolute joy
I did find the word ‘COV’ flashing on the screen for a solid minute pretty amusing.I do like all the new scoreboard graphics for this season and little videos for each player, it's nice when actual effort is put into things again. No replays though, not sure if that was a sky thing or just a general change
He celebrated like he wasn't thoughHe was clearly knackered though
I think modern stadia have sucked atmosphere out of football. It’s now more sterile and polite. If fans are moaning about our winning celebrations in the 96th minute , then maybe football isnt their sport after all
Eccles was the worst midfielder by far.Countless stray balls, Eccles was much better.
there was so plum of theirs bawling on about "enjoying 12th" by the roundabout, they were proper brokenWas in the Longford Engine before the match and a group of their lads were utterly embarrassing themselves, think there was even a table of Oxford fans who were cringing at them
to be fair the oxford fans were just getting used to the stadium having 4 standsI think modern stadia have sucked atmosphere out of football. It’s now more sterile and polite.
The newer football fans will only know that type of atmosphere. So the “limbs”is becoming more alien up the football pyramid
And his composure and pace at the end was brilliant. He celebrated like he wasn't though
he reads the shite pass perfectly as wellAnd his composure and pace at the end was brilliant.
The guys gonna be a monster for us this season and if we don't go up, we'll get a shit tonne of cash
fuck them, they beat an in transition Norwich team and thought they were world beaters. And let's have it right , oxford fans were very confident they would beat us on their forum .. maybe that's added to some of the sour comments .
Or one big continuous one?to be fair the oxford fans were just getting used to the stadium having 4 stands
The 50/50 which was given against simms , I'd love to have the ref explain what he did wrong apart from win a duelThought the ref gave them everything TBH. Saw at least two blatant hand balls, Simms shoulder barge, and a couple of others.
just not having a car park behind one goal reallyOr one big continuous one?
Theirs, by comparison, ought to be in the Pitt Rivers.
Mind you, I do love that museum.
fuck them, they are probably called Jeremy and wear colourful chinosOxford fans on their forum seem to think the ref favoured us and that he was shit. They’re still fuming over 7 minutes of added time. I really don’t get it.
Take the last two words backfuck them, they are probably called Jeremy and wear colourful chinos

It took us a long while to get back here. Our outlay in our first 3 seasons back at this level was about 3 million. After sleeping on it, I’m pleased we (Oxford) played you early. If you don’t finish in the top 6 or can step up to become an automatic, then we are in for a hard season. For us, although I’m gutted you took all 3 points, I think it will be an eye opening lesson for us as to how big the gulf in quality is between League One and the Championship.
Our spending on players is in the region of £300-400k is completely dwarfed by your players worth, someone on here said you had CB’s worth £6.5 million sitting on the bench! Hopefully we’ll pick up a couple more before the window closes.
A great crowd, much better than when we were plying in L1.
What a load of rubbishLucky, lucky, lucky. Don't deserve it.
He set the tone from the first minute when he tried to knock the ball past his man and had tremendous pace.Wright is my MOTM
28He set the tone from the first minute when he tried to knock the ball past his man and had tremendous pace.
He’s scoring 20+ league goals this season.
He put in some solid tackles but I don’t disagree with the view that Torp and Eccles struggled when pressed and I’ve felt all 3 games we’ve been open in midfield and defence.Eccles had an excellent second half
