Just sat down out of nowhere didn’t he? Usually a sign something bad has happened. Not sure I noticed Torp pull up watching at home.

Torp, let's hope it's just cramp, in is Calf, and took him off as a precaution or am I just wishful thinking. 🙏

My reply button is playing up for some reason. Hands up if I'm wrong but pretty sure MR said King was in charge of recruitment now on two occasions. Sure some nerd on here will search out the exact words to prove this one way or another. Sometimes (like all of us) I get things wrong, but don't deal in wind ups or conspiracy theories. What's the point?

He takes the lead in negotiations/has a big say when there is significant fees involved which you would expect. He of course lets the recruitment team/MR pick the players and just nays or yays I imagine

Nerd here 🫡

Regarding sales he’s certainly suggested that:

I wouldn't expect a manager to be fielding bids or enquiries about players so I'm glad that's the situation. Not the same as MR saying "I don't get any say in who comes and goes". Don't see a story here.

Looking at the ticket map for Fri night, pretty healthy. Block 27 sold out, based on there being only one single in it. Block 26 might be just half season tickets - weird, but it is what it is! Blocks 12 and 11 starting to shift.

Have they not sold the back rows or did they all sell out first?

If needed, could Palmer operate alongside Eccles as part of a two?

He has played there a handful of times in his career but I don't really see it being an option.

We'd have to lose two more of Eccles/Lati/Kelly for him to end up there I think.

That's the difference in recruitment between us and Sunderland.

They got rid of Mowbray because they want a coach who chooses the side but doesn't get a say in who comes to the club. Mowbray isn't a yes man and kept on about needing quality up front. Those in charge just want young players who can rise in value. Then they sell the players who are worth money and don't put it back into the side. Their new owner paid for the club using their parachute payments.

Then we have King. Used money from elsewhere to take over from SISU. The money coming in from sales mainly goes back into the squad. Robins decides which players he wants and King does the deals. Can't see King selling the players without talking to Robins. Any offers for players would go through King and not Robins.

When Robins came back it was under the understanding that he would make every call and they kept out of everything. So yes he has less say now but he still has a massive say. Otherwise King is very good at choosing players.

Potentially Palmer is the best player we have, but it depends what Palmer turns up.
He disappears during a match then bounces back then goes missing a
again so frustrating.

There used to be a video floating round on YouTube of a Preston fan filming what they thought would be them celebrating the final whistle.... He kept it on for both our goals... It was brilliant!!

He deleted it a few years back. I'd love to see it again!
