Earlsdon shouldn’t be a night out...

Why not? As long as people don't roll out the pub / bar screaming like d*ckheads, there's no issue. It's a big enough city to have areas that are self sustaining with some night life. Cambridge has pubs and bars open late in the middle of neighbourhoods and people just handle their sh*t and leave without being Brits abroad.

Looking at their forum they really are a special bunch
Reckon we have forced a rivalry with them when let's be honest , most of us couldn't give a rats arse about them.
They're the least significant club in Sheffield let alone in our thoughts.

3-1 loss and Hamer (and probably O'Hare) to score.

How many cup finals is that now

Sheffield United fans stoking up a rivalry wasn't on my bingo card. I can't remember ever giving a second thought to them. I don't like them or hate them, they are just another club.

Though I'm not looking forward to seeing O'Hare & Hamer play against us.

I still haven’t forgiven them for the quarter final defeat. I definitely prefer them to scummy Sheff Weds. There were some cracking games against them at HR in the early to mid 00s as well.

It all stems from the protest game which they took offence too and which they won anyway…

It’s very strange and like you said other than looking back at it at a very grim time for our club no one really gives it a second thought

Dovin
Latibeaudiere - Thomas - Binks
van Ewijk - Eccles - Rudoni - Bidwell
Torp
Simms - Mason Clarke
Subs:
Collins, Kitching, Dasilva, Andrews, Allen, Yearn, Sakamoto, Asante, Bassette

Can see this being a tough game as they’re a decent side (obviously why they’re up the top). Definitely one we can win if we’re on it though, it all depends what Coventry turns up I think. But based on us showing up Im going for a hard fought 2-1 win with EMC finally getting on the scoresheet and showing us who he really is, and Tatsu to score off the bench. One of Gus or Cal for them

Collins (got to stick with a keeper and he wasn’t awful)
MvE Thomas Kitching Binks
Torp Eccles Rudoni
Saka Simms EMC

TBH wrote about four different back lines out and they’re all much of a muchness.

Same here, when the team shows up to really play it's a joy to watch. Not sure who's gonna show up tomorrow so, for no reason whatsoever going to foresee a 1-1 draw maybe a late goal by Hound.

I was chuffed to bits when they beat Wednesday the other week mind

My dad thinks we’d have had a bloody good chance of winning the cup in 1998

It was a horrible night at Bramall Lane... seeing Moldovan miss chance after chance & worrying that we let them back in... then David Holdsworth hit that volley... less said about the pens!

I think it was more a chance to get to Wembley... we'd have given Newcastle a good run for their money at Old Trafford, but Arsenal were a bloody good team then, and we'd have fallen short like Newcastle.

Still gives me shudders now. We thought our stand behind the goal was coming down it was shaking so much - bit like our penalty takers I think 🤣

Remains one of my biggest regrets with city that night - we were flying that season. Great team. Remember choosing which area of old Trafford we would aim to get tickets at HT!

that Moldovan header - we were right behind it - ffs.

we would have beaten Newcastle was sure of it, Arsenal, maybe too much but that felt like such a chance.

Proper hurt that one!

And them singing, we've got O'Hare Callum O'Hare.

And he's Brazilian, Gus Hamer.

Just couldn't stomach it.

I’ve never liked Sheffield United since they beat us two nil around Christmas when we were flying hard with Tony Mowbray.
They were a cheating, Diving dirty bastard team.
Strangely enough, like most teams in red and white stripes.
