Does that make it not a save then? If he had let it go into the net it would have counted as a goal, therefore he prevented a goal which surely = a save? The one he tipped around was from our own player

Tip round post was from own playerThe one from Bannan, the one at his righthand side post and didn't he tip one round for the corner that lead to the goal?
I realise that, but why not classed as a save?it’s not classed as a shot by the opposition
I think Derby had one shot on target when they scored two goals
Maybe stop calling an entire fanbase racist? There were load of comments to the BBC match report saying what wonderful supporters the SW lot were.
I replied with some missing detail that they are racists. BBC moderators removed my comment on the grounds that it broke their house rules ( e.g. could be a racist comment in itself, or inciting violence etc).
I have challenged the moderators saying that comments can be accurate reportage.
This is from the BBC notification, the comment I had replied to described SW as an amazing fan base.

Twats.
At least he pushed it away from goal, him and Kitching make us look better at the backTip round post was from own player
Do wonder if he could have held on to that possibly. Wasnt travelling fast. But nitpicking
There really was no reason to stick with Collins and Wilson. At least we arrived at the right answer eventuallyAt least he pushed it away from goal, him and Kitching make us look better at the back
But who wouldn't? It doesn't mean he's giving any less. He's Dutch and I'd imagine would like to play for a decent Dutch top flight outfit. Likewise he'd probably also like to play for a huge club like Gala with pretty much guaranteed European competition in a great city.No ones dramatising
We turned down a bid from an Eredivisie side on deadline day. He wanted to go
Galatasary interest is solid. Unless they offer the 10 million Doug wants though it's not happening
But again, he wants to go
Yep absolutely. There were positive signs, but people saying it was a great performance is totally ludicrousI thought first the 60/65 minutes were encouraging, deserved our 1 goal lead and if jt wasn’t for better finishing I think it could have finished 3 or 4 nill. The game turned for me when Bannon came on and we seemed to go back in our shells and it felt inevitable they would get an equaliser, although Bobbys disallowed goal was a joke.
Our inability to capitalise and get a 2nd goal to kill the game when we are on top is killing us, not being helped by our lack of goals from our currently fit strikers. Glad we are are through though, hoping we get spurs away on a Saturday evening, 9k city fans in London would be a memorable day out.

Oh for sure. I've long said dovins easily the best keeper we haveAt least he pushed it away from goal, him and Kitching make us look better at the back
In a Roy of the Rovers comic strip. It looked a pretty good save from where I was.Tip round post was from own player

no, they continued to boo him for being racially abused in the cup gamesMaybe stop calling an entire fanbase racist?
shite ref from yorkshireHow was their goal from the corner allowed to stand when ours didn't. The attacker literally had MVE around the neck to stop him challenging.
Context mattersYep absolutely. There were positive signs, but people saying it was a great performance is totally ludicrous

You gave no nuance or context; all you did is accuse five thousand people of being racist. There were load of comments to the BBC match report saying what wonderful supporters the SW lot were.

Fair comment. You gave no nuance or context; all you did is accuse five thousand people of being racist.
If you'd had said something like: 'this is the fan base where a vocal minority victim blamed when an opponent was racially abused by one of their own', then I'd have sympathy.
But you didn't.
Great point and tbh I'm not sure how many times it's been mentioned that it was great eitherContext matters
Missing 3 of our best players against a side above us in the league and we deserved to win it in the 90. And showed resilience to win the shootout after conceding at the death for the second game in a row.
When people have constantly been complaining about our mental strength and application it was a good showing.
What millions of fans? I doubt it.Don’t you remember them all joining in?
What millions of fans? I doubt it.
The fanbase is more than just those that went to that particular game. the kids. The people streaming at home. The people listening on radio. The casuals, oaps etc
Also I don't remember anything entire stadium to a man booing. And how many of them had a clear idea of what was going on either I wonder
It would be like saying everyone in Coventry likes women being assaulted cos we cheered Marlon king
Yep absolutely. There were positive signs, but people saying it was a great performance is totally ludicrous
I'm not defending anyone who booeed. I just don't believe for one single second that all of Sheffield Wednesday FC fanbase is racist that's allNot quite the same. And he was booed in subsequent games where it was very clear what happened. Not sure why you’re defending them.
Agreed, reading the comments from some you'd think we'd battered them for 120 minutes. We looked OK for 60 mins. We actually tried to move the ball forwards instead of in the U of doom. Players looked like they vaguely gave a fuck. But this is basics against a team resting their best player and their keeper at home. And we didn’t even win.

to those points
hamer wanted to sign a contract if we offered the extra 5k a week. we were told it’s on only for king to back track and say we have a wage structure and no player would be on more than 30k a week
they were spotted at Warwick uni and contact put 2 and 2 and got 5
Sakamoto in his own words in an interview after said they though initially the injury was a lot more sersious
remind me who else came in after torp?
no one despite all on here saying we were getting 4 or 5 in
the fact last Jan was more players left than who come in
What about all the info I got right. ah yeah decide to Forget about that
Aren't we without a couple of our best players too ?
Thought we deserved to win in 90 and only didn't because of shit officiating
Yeah that’s fair. And we should have won it fair and square. But other than the Simms chance we didn’t create a huge amount, and they had a couple of chances just as good. We should have won, but once Bannon came on they outplayed us.
I need to see a better angle of the Thomas goal, it does look like BTA is fouling the keeper, but that's only from one angle, and only watching it on my phone.Aren't we without a couple of our best players too ?
