Can't be arsed with playing them again. Hope we lose. I’d earmarked to come back for the Preston game which will almost certainly get moved if we win
Cheers @MAFF

Top fan you are.

Most accept that we building for future with this latest window more evidence

So fa cup prize money could seriously help us in that regard too.

It's an important game imo
IDK what is the urgency for the cup money as against Po's monetarily?
Obviously dependant on home or away, who's the beneficiary Fraser's or the club?

The club get prize money not frasers?

Not to mention TV money and ticket sales etc

Also cup run doesn't mean we can't get tplayoffs

TBH, we should have enough to rotate and win both our next two games. MVE, Bidwell and Saka should be protected for Millwall. Same for Torp.

Wilson
Lati Thomas Binks Dasilva
Eccles Allen
O’hare
Palmer Simms Wright

Still a strong team that. Get the game wrapped up if we can then give O’hare his rest. More time to get Simms and Wright firing as well.

Plan goes to shit of course if we start to lose but can’t be hearing how players are ‘flat’ or ‘tired’ if we don’t beat Millwall on Sunday.

Might give Godden a starting place, and mix up his playing time with Wright. Wright has just returned from injury, and being a quick turnaround from Saturday, I don't want to risk any setbacks with him (as arguably our most effective forward)

We are likely to need Kelly and Tavares in the weeks ahead so I would be looking to start both and get 60 minutes out of them. Maybe get Torp up to the 75 minute mark. Have a couple of youngers on the bench - maybe Stretton for one.
If we want to progress to the next round, I really don't think we can be picking Tavares.

Kelly, sure, he's been there, done it and I feel pretty confident we can get at least one more good performance out of him.

We need to be looking to win the game

Wright has just come back from a groin injury and we are short of options. Not sure we have seen enough of Tavares to judge whether he can be a decent squad player or not.

We haven’t seen enough of Tavares to judge completely but the fact we haven’t speaks for itself in a way. Was in desperate need of a loan.

If we can afford to, give him some minutes in the cup to see where he’s at but don’t think he will be making a league appearance any time soon.

I think the reality is it is impossible for us to know the relative fitness of the players and selection is more dependent on that than the relative merit of each player.

I predict that we will rest a few key players such as Tats and COH, still put out a strong team and win 2-1.

Important to win, a poor performance and cup exit after a defeat wouldn't be ideal morale wise. Does it go to extra time or straight to pens if we're drawing?

would be good to use this game to work out how best to cover Sheaf missing for a few weeks, and i'd also like to mix up the front 4 a bit, bar Sakamoto i've been disappointed in all of them recently and its clearly where the problem lies.

Maybe try Wright as the actual striker, Da Silva could do LW, Saka RW and Allen/Torp in the 10 role, not saying thats the strongest setup but feel we need to mix it up a bit

Given the good draw for the next round I'd go strong starting line-up and hope we can change it later. Considered starting Allen instead of Torp but decided against it.

Wilson
MvE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Eccles O'Hare Torp
Sakamoto Simms Wright

Collins, Lati, Dasilva, Kelly, Allen, Palmer, Rus, Tavares, Godden,

I’m quite surprised at the apathy towards this years FA cup. 2 very winnable games then your one game away from a trip to Wembley…

Id rather focus on this than the league as we won’t be making the play offs anyway and we won’t be going down.

Could we try Wright through the middle, with say Palmer & Sakamoto or Simms either side?
