Thought he should have brought Wright on for EMC rather than Asante ( that bit earlier and left Simms on ) - BTA never looks where he’s going or where to pass to
I thought the same, BTA was dreadful when he came on, I’ve never been convinced by him.

He also gave the ball away which turned over possession for their first goal.

We got away with that. Thomas will probably never score a goal like that all career! Lampard's subs were strange and it put us on the back foot, and ultimately cost an equalizer.
But here we are 9 in 10.
Robin's takes credit home. He almost pulled off a terrific draw from 2-0 down. They will keep improving and be safe.
Now we have to look at our injuries and fingers crossed they are all OK.

Stoke played how we did earlier in the season. They defended their box horribly and all 3 our goals were pretty avoidable.

They got the rub of the green for a) the penalty and b) their equaliser that was offside.

One thing that irked me about me about his pre-match press conference was when we said he wasn’t surprised we turned the season around because ‘the underlying data’ as if he made the same selections. He dropped Dovin, Simms, Kitching and EMC barely a look in. Lampard has had to deal with losing 3 key players from Nov-March.

He’s just not a winger and we probably need to stop playing him there. Haji looks better out wide in a 4-2-3-1 and I just feel we lose a lot in the last 2 games he came on for Simms.

Great to see so many still there in 97th minute. Often fans leave early and of course some still did, but but having thrown 2nil away I'd have expected a lot more to go, yet I think fans believed today it was still on. And oh how we were all rewarded!

Wasn’t a great performance but good teams find a way to win, our subs changed the game, for the worse, would of preferred to see wright on for EMC instead of Assante ( cost us the first goal ) think we made too many changes, do t get why da silva started, when bidwell was fit, torp filled in for rudoni easily, just worrying how against a very pooor stoke side how we never made many chances, simms and wright hardly got a touch, anyway ill take the 3 points over performance

i can't understand why any cov fans left before the end.
i hope their slightly easier journey home was payment for missing a winner in the 97th.

bizarre.

I don’t closely follow who says what on here like others but I have to say that you are the person who seems to have the biggest ‘agenda’ that I notice. All you do is pick people out for anything positive about Robins and negative about Lampard. It’s definitely an agenda. But it’s ok to have an agenda isn’t it? I don’t mind it.
You mean I pick out people who talked utter nonsense about lampard

I say loads of positive things about robins, I love the guy and have no issue with pro robins posts as long as it ain't to put down lampard.

so get your facts right. Or perhaps you have an agenda of lying?

I thought Dasilva was excellent today & showed us what Lampard has instilled in all our players ( except Asante ) ……
Also the passing in close quarters , we were able to keep possession far easier than in previous games …..
Excellent city & now for Derby
CTID

He was fine today but I wouldn't call him excellent whatsoever. He let the ball run in behind him for their first chance which Dovin saved and he should've been quicker to track back better for their second.

I'm referring to your constant decrying of people who have an 'agenda' despite the fact that you seem have a clear agenda. You just outlined it above. Your agenda is to call out people who (in your opinion) 'talked utter nonsense about Lampard' and to put this straight.

I shouldn't have mentioned it I think. I'm not really looking for a row, I just read the phrase 'agenda-crew' and my cage was rattled.

I don't have an 'agenda of lying' (whatever that means).

I won't bring it up again.

To clarify when I say agenda crew I mean those who were anti lampard or still are.

My agenda is to be the hero this forum needs sure

But I'm not looking for an argument either and have no issue with you just wanted to make it clear I love mark robins

I agree but not sure why BTA remained at LW when they were on the pitch. BTA is a good striker for this level, he’s just not a good winger imo.

I think they see Wright as a striker. Maybe just because he hasn’t played much yet because for me it’s obvious he wants the balls to feet at the corner of the box. My worry with Wright is he’s not a Simms style get on the end of things in the box striker and not a crossing wide forward either so might not fit in well with Lampards cross it in lots style.

There's a guy who sits near me, who always scurries off at 88 minutes, we took the piss out of him for missing the winner against QPR, and fuck me if he didn't do the same today! Some people never learn 🤣🤣🤣

We’ll have to wait and see really because Haji isn’t 100% yet. With Sakamoto playing so well and BTA having just come on, the most natural change to make would’ve been Simms. Likewise with the Oxford game.

With how direct we’ve been at times lately, you probably want Haji and Simms getting in the box together.

I’ve advocated for a front 3 of EMC-Simms-Haji and whilst my belief remains that’s the next ‘evolution’… Sakamoto has been superb these last games and doing the things people (including myself) said he wasn’t.

They are great problems to have.

Wouldn't be surprised if Lampard is just looking for a way to fit EMC and Wright in the same team

It's an odd one because we all know Wright has been our best attacking player the last two seasons, but EMC has obviously been great for Lampard in Wright's absence so I suspect he'll have some loyalty to him.
