Team looks about as good as we can put put atm to me. Simms has been poor recently so I really don't see the harm in sticking Wright there.

Really would have left Wright until after the break to start and not convinced by him in the middle. He’ll score a hat trick now of course.

Not surprised to see Bidwell, and Eccles not starting, but not sure about Simms. Yeah hasn't been at his best last few games but having seen Wright's performance on Tuesday I am not sure what Lampard has seen to pick him up front over Simms, very odd. Hope I am wrong but I think Lampard has made a mistake

Their line up.

If Wright leaves his foot in on O'Nien in the first 10 minutes we might be in for a game.

Well, he must have looked okay in training I guess.

Unless maybe Simms is now carrying a knock. 🤷‍♂️

Lot of pressure on Wright to deliver now, in a new position whilst looking rustier than a 10 year old Leyland Sherpa. I would have gone with Simms personally.

Yeah, let's hope he's been doing stuff in training.

If he plays like he has the last couple of appearances we may as well have nobody up there, we have also lost Simms defending corners.

Very suprised to see Wright get a start after his Derby performance.

Hopefully Simms gets on after an hour and is in the mood to prove a point.

Can't argue with Allen getting a start over Eccles either tbf.

Interesting lineup... It feels overly harsh on Simms.

Simms played like a total pussy against Derby, and has been a bit suspect in general. Wright was of course worse in that game, but has the excuse of being just back from four months out.

Arguably that front three today could be our best attacking three in the squad. I'm not against giving Wright a go, but to be honest I don't expect a huge amount just yet. Will be interesting to see the outcome today.
