18 points last 10 games for them too being off form
Off form? I said keep slipping up against lower sides. You say us losing away to Derby. I say Sunderland losing at home to Hull. That was only 4 games ago. They only had 2 shots on target.

Picking one game against hull isn’t an indicator of anything

We’ve just been on an all time run. Let’s see where it shakes out. In terms of where we are as a set up Sunderland are miles ahead of us. Evo is right it’s what we hope Lampard can do next season.
I haven't disagreed with him. I said they're a good side. He said I'm wrong because they're a good side 😁

I said they keep slipping up against lower sides. He said I'm wrong because they have 18 points from their last 10 games.

I'm expecting a good game today. As I have said a few times their weakness is our strength. They're not very good at all with high balls into their area. We're prone to mistakes at the back. To me it could well come down to which GK plays the best.

We are that side. The reason they're above us is our very poor start.

Take our last 11 games. A quarter of a season. 27 points from a possible 33. That's top 2 form. When Lampard took over we were 1 point out of the bottom 3.
Spot on, we’ve been playing catch up again, we’d of easily been up there with them, if not above them, they couldn’t beat us at their place and they won’t today 👍😉

Norwich are not eliminated from the race yet

Only if us and west brom win will they be out of it for me.
8 games to go for them. 9 for the rest of us other than Bristol City. 7 points plus GD from 6th. Down in 12th so it would take a very good run just to have a chance.

Norwich out of it now unless they win all their games and have a run like us. It’s not happening.

Change of attitude would help. Chase and harry every thing. Run ourselves into the ground. Show that we want it more.

Passion and spirit can go a long way. I don't think it needs major changes.

All depends on who's fit and ready I guess

But treat it like a cup tie and don't let them settle for a single second
Never should have replaced Will Kennard

This will be tough. Have to play like the first half against PNE, but without Rudoni. Any kind of win would be fantastic. Play defensive with 5 at the back but fast on the break

I would say at the moment we are overall overachieving- Sunderland are a better side - doesn’t mean we can’t win but the top 4 are far better than the pack below them
We will see today.

Sunderland are like us. Not playing well but picking up results. We had a disastrous first half of the season. Just a couple of extra wins would have us in a totally different place. I see us as on par with them but a long way from the top 3.

Just a thought - Given the animosity towards our club from their supporters in recent years concerning historical events, I wonder if Robins used that to gee up the players for this fixture and if Frank will also?
I'm not lost on tactics/game plan and performance being the over riding factor in getting a result but their bad mouthing of our club/the club they play for might be akin to pinning a derisory newspaper clipping on the dressing room wall for getting a reaction?
They haven't beaten us home or away in about the last nine or ten meetings.

Need to get at them from the off give them to much respect like we did Leeds and they will stroll to victory as our defence is weak, our midfield is soft as no one puts in a strong tackle.Wright up top for me.

Just a bit worrying with these free kicks and a high line. The keeper needs to come and claim the ball over the top, but seems to be rooted to his line.
Same as the rest of our keepers, could they be being told to stay on the line ?

We have the most headed goals i europe. They probably fear our own set pieces, especially given their keeper appears to be having a poor spell right now

Got the same feeling as I did before Derby

I dont have any team news yet, even after asking the question. Usually readily available, but that and Lampards coyness in the presser yesterday leads me to feel we are missing a couple of important players with niggles

We are conceding 2 a game again

It was our undoing first half of the season and I feel it will be again

1-2 Sunderland

Also why does it seem players have been told to wait for the cross and not go to the attacker? May not be the case but it’s most definitely happening.

This high line is a worry. Lampard comes from a world of decent defending. Players who can deal with a cross. Our defence is very limited, which he's obviously aware of and I'm sure he'll address the problem in the summer.
Letting a regular 2 goals a game in is crap for a top six team

Maybe last minute decisions on a player or two or he's had enough of team details being leaked.

I can see it being 3-2 or more either way.

They are in reality - they have zero consistency - The BTA miss against them may prove the difference in the end
Their odds are going down but from a mathematical pov if us and west brom leave it's as it was for then points wise to top 6 pretty much that's all I mean

You could save people the time and effort by warning them that Latibeaudiere is playing.

I got feeling from press conference that sheaf and bta won't be back today. Hope I'm wrong
