The shape matters, but no shape is going to succeed with players taking so long to advance the ball, giving away soft goals every week, and missing sitters at the other end.

They need to be putting in double time at the training ground to sort this out. Otherwise, we're the new Stoke on the block.
Really feel we’ve got season after season of teams we used to ridicule

Our form was pretty good in the league until April 6th .
We then played 10 games in 34 days including the semi final

The thing for me mate is if I’m honest since we’ve come up we’ve not looked convincing without Vik and Gus. That was fine because we were run on a shoestring. But their sale should have meant we built a proper squad of championship players rather than two PL ones and a bunch of L1. And TBF we have.

Now I want to see us playing with some type of identity and looking convincing. The last couple of games, collapses apart, have been encouraging, but the games sandwiching them are some of the worst I’ve seen us play under Robins.

There’s always been a question mark around his ability at this level without Viveash and cheat code players. Last season I could accept we did a big rebuild and it would take time. This season we’ve ripped up the coaching staff and started again and frankly I can’t see any progression. Our players look unmotivated, confused, and are sniping at each other on the pitch. They don’t generally look like players out of their depth, just set up badly and lacking in leadership. All of which has to come down to Robins and his staff.

I’m willing to give him time, but I need to see a consistent upwards trajectory from the abject shite we’ve seen so far. Spurs was a different sort of performance and one no player at this level needs motivation for. Oxford was frankly a fluke. Watford was promising. And that alone is why I’m not calling for his head. But I have an awfully long way to go to be convinced this set up is getting the best out of this group of players.

Every season Stoke spend a ton on their squad and tell themselves this will be the year that's different from all the ones before. Then the manager is sacked some point early on and they finish in the bottom half.

That's looking like being CCFC this year, but unlike Stoke we don't have gambling tycoons ready to fund another bash at it next summer.

Not sure where you've got that from

Check the date.
Right , we won 2 of the next 3 after he left and were desperately unlucky to lose an fa cup semi final on penalties .

I wasn't happy with how our form dropped with a busy schedule and small squad last season but many including yourself at the time suggested it was understandable with such a small squad and the load .

Now it's different ?

Right let’s be crystal clear here. The hypothesis is that Lawrence and particularly Viveash were heavily responsible for our performances and the team that’s replaced them starting from last March isn’t up to scratch.

That’s why taking last seasons results matters. Because it shows the cut off clearly. It’s also why it’s not just calling for change after five games.

Nothing changes over night. Old habits stick about for a bit. We also had Viveash. The worry is now we have neither and their replacements aren’t good enough.

Ok now that's a different argument , coaching the team and managing the team are different things .

If the new coaches are not good enough them that's something that doug will need to deal with .

We are to believe the players didn't like the stricter methods of adi , now they have it easy ?

It's not factoring in the FA Cup run, which clearly took its toll.
I bet if you look back at last seasons slow start no one tags in previous seasons incredible finish to try and make the stats look better.

The cut of is inconsistent though , it would imply that Dennis Lawrence was Jose mourinho and viveash and Robins were wank .. it's all bollocks

Talk us round Evo. What are you seeing this season that gives you hope?

I think whilst we've put in a couple of poor performances ... we've been unlucky to not be on more points, most teams that struggle genuinely just look poor all the time .. we don't

No I don’t think that. I can completely accept the game schedule and squad size and general losing at Wembley deflation played a big part.

I think Viveash was very important though. I can accept he may have made his position untenable, but then it’s on the club to replace him with as good if not better like any staff member.

I think we’ve lost a lot of leadership in both the squad and the backroom staff and not replaced any of it.

I agree we've lost leadership on the pitch but again doug seems unwilling to recruit older heads and Robins is no longer picking his players to recruit , rather just saying yes ok
