If Doug does pull the trigger wonder if Rohl would be a target?

I'd go for Des Buckingham at Oxford Utd.

Newly promoted team who have beat Norwich and Preston (2 teams we can't beat to save our lives). They got a point vs Burnley, came from 2-0 down to draw at Luton and today came from behind to draw at Pomey.

Currently 4 points ahead of us and only lost 1 in their last 6. They've spent 2p compared to us after beating a much-fancied Bolton team in the play-off final to get promoted.

I hope Robins can sort this mess out, I really do, but if King decides to make a change, he needs to fill a few trucks full of cash and drive them down the M40 to get Buckingham.

Doug won't pay compo with little chance of recouping it!

I figured I'd wait a day for my 2p. And, didn't read any match commentary until last night. Nearly 40 pgs worth of entertaining optimism turned hysteria. Sort of funny reading.

Many of you need to chillax and stop biting each other's heads off as it's like watching best friends have a row.

I was thoroughly enjoying the game until the last minute. I personally thought it was two teams trying to win the match, until Mr. Beadle got the ball and went to ground for about 40 seconds in stoppage time and was thinking "oh, maybe just a draw then."
Loads of mistakes but my impressions were players were working hard to fix their own mistakes + accommodate for others' mistakes..... until that obvious fatal mistake at the end which I watched unfold at the half line and immediately knew it was doom for us.
Certain players were shining for moments, then disappeared for a little while.
Disappointed at the result for certain. We all know the quality of our players is there but isn't showing up at game time.

"Got to do better."

Dunno what the on field or off field problems may be, not my job to knkw or fix it, I just want to see us win more games than we have been as of late. PUSB.

Complete hysteria by many of the usuals. Sheffield Wednesday didn't deserve that win. The team performed ok and deserved more. The need to single out individuals says a lot about some on here. We go again - fuck the negativity and doomsayers - support the team.
Not sure how we deserved more? We were awful.

Going by the radio commentary, as well as the extended Sky Sports highlights, we really could and should have carved out at least three to four golden chances to add to our solitary goal.

It’s that final composure and focus when it comes to actually playing someone in, crossing adequately etc, or even players being in the right place (IE where Wright was 90% of the time last season to put one away in the box) that is severely lacking.

Disjointed, clunky, dishevelled performances from the defence upwards.

It has to change, otherwise we are going to be neck deep in shit by January.
You should have watched it to realise we didn't threaten them.

I hate the fact they beat us at home for the first time in 30 years. I love records like that and now they've broke the hoodoo 😡

Another opinion positioned as a fact based on no facts what so ever

It was half in jest hence the exclamation mark.
So it wasn't positioned as fact, but it's certainly not without merit.

Why are we the only club in the league without a loanee?

I imagine most of their fans will look at our games and wonder how on Earth they lost here.

Even the league one needed a last minute mistake from them for us to win.
That game and Blackburn were the only games we deserved to win to be fair. There's a worrying amount of delusion from some on here about what they saw yesterday.

We spent £45m on this lot. It should be better than where we are.
OFFICIAL……….Robins is a c**t
My apologies for being so abrupt yesterday, but I was fucking furious and frustrated losing to those clogging, shitmunching northern monkeys..
Where was the fast, attacking, exciting football we were sold the dream of, both by Robins and King, and last season we were the ones running and scoring in the 97 th minute this lot looked fucked by halftime.
Why didn’t he change things when both cms were on yellows, Haji couldn’t be arsed and EMC looked like a lost soul? We have a stronger bench than ever, so why not use it? Has he really lost the plot?

I don’t want Robins out, but this team is mostly from last year, Robins is still here, so where’s the change in attitude come from? Perhaps Boateng should spend 45 minutes at the top of a stand and see what the fans can, but from ground level the coaches can’t?
I don’t know the answers, but King won’t have the same emotional attachment to Robins we do and will surely pull the plug if it doesn’t improve soon.

I thought yesterday's result was terrible.

But I didn't think the performance was quite as bad as others do.

There was some good stuff out there from us. Pity about that Kitching header and the Van Ewijk pass at the end - still thought Sheaf was just going to get there though - fine margins?

Leeds and Swansea were worse performances overall, for my money. Didn't see Stoke.

Poor start to the season innit.

The performance was nowhere near as bad as people are making out, it was a completely even end-to-end game which on another day we'd have won ourselves

Losing it the way we did stings, especially against them cause I have absolutely zero time for them and waiting around during the international break for two weeks for the next game to come around whilst the negativity festers in is horrible - but compared to the Swansea/Leeds performances it was an improvement

Not one person from a Cov or Wednesday persuasion could have said a draw wasn't a fair result, they just managed to get a lucky break and pinched the game at the death

Funny isn't it everyone was happy enough after the Blackburn game and we went 1-0 up Saturday and everyone was chanting Robins' name yet an hour later he is tactically inept and he has taken us as far as he can

I think actually keeping it level until the end is why there’s some clouded views of the performance. Should have been comfortably behind long before that point.

I don't think it was that bad of a performance either to be honest. I just feel that the attacking players are letting us down big time at the minute. This doesn't come from a biased opinion (I don't think), but on paper we've got one of the best attacking options in the league. Wright and Simms would walk into most teams starting 11s, BTA was top goal scorer for a team in the playoffs, Sakamoto has been largely disappointing and seems to have no confidence to take on his man, EMC hasn't done anything yet but would get into at least half the teams starting 11 in this division, and not really seen enough of Bassette to give him too much stick but again on paper he adds to an absolutely fantastic attack. The only one I'm going to not include is Rudoni as I think he's more than doing his part at the minute.

It seems that the mantra is we'll score lots of goals with these attacking players, but they have been woefully inadequate.

The attacking players sure are letting us down... and the defence... and the keeper... come to think of it the midfield isn't great either. Oh and the manager!
Apart from that it's been decent tbf.

I guess I didn’t word it adequately; like, we were getting into the areas to cross/pass/carve out a chance, but it would fizzle out due to a backwards pass, a miscued pass, a crap cross or being dispossessed.

It was bad enough listening in, let alone being there and actually watching it. Like the Swansea game, which was probably a marginally worse performance.

FFS give Sakamoto a chance to get up to speed, how many games has he actually made, about 4?

If it is 4 then it will probably match what his average match rating is.
We've all seen it,and can't explain it,if coaches instruction or reluctance but it's a bit kneejerk to consign him to the bin,at least he knows how to keep the shape?🤔

If MR was to leave, Buckingham rightly or wrongly would be viewed by most of our support as a disappointing appointment.

He has done a decent job at Oxford and they have made a decent start, but this is just a moment in time and not indicative that he would do a good job for us in the long term. They will do well to stay up come the end of the season. Last season Plymouth were in a similar position to Oxford, when Schumacher left for Stoke, and that didn't end particularly well!

Sat on the beach reading all the negativity on here is spoiling my Holiday. Can we please just get behind everything CCFC as it just a transition that we’re going through. 🤫
