I dreamt we lost 6-1 with Fadz scoring a stoppage time consolation

Sometimes dreams do come true, but hopefully not on this occasion

I think Luton are a decent side. Maybe not the prettiest football but they're certainly effective.

Everything about the game would normally say that we'd lose. Our record against them is dreadful, they earnt their 3rd place spot and will be up for this as much as us.

Buuuut, I just know how good MR and Adi are at planning for situations like this. I'm sure I went into the Oxford game at Wembley thinking something similar that we should lose and here's the logical reasons why.

I've got a good feeling about this one but Luton will be a tough opponent.

The most important thing is that we don’t let them start fast, and crucially don’t allow an early goal.

Not sure if this has been posted but we actually had identical form to them after our draw in Feb to end of the season proper. W8 D7 L1. Add in the play-offs and we’re on a slightly better run seeing as they lost their first leg and we drew ours. Not sure if there has been two as equally matched sides in play-off history in regards to purely recent results.

How’s their Wembley record?

2:0 I say, Vik finds his scoring boots again and gets both goals.
He's due a stormer isn't he.

If Gyok is on fire and Hamer plays like he has been, it's going to give us a great platform.

We need others bang on form too though.

I think we need top notch performances from Hamer, Vik, Sheaf, McFadzean and McNally.

All 5 play really well and we have a really good chance.

Funnily enough, she is going to watch Arsenal ladies play on Saturday. Borehamwood.

She hates football, but is doing it as a favour for a friend and said she would drive.

People seem to have forgotten the meaning of the phrase "cult hero". That usually means a massive character, not necessarily just your teams best player-people like Huckerby, Konjic or Killer. Vic's not a cult hero, he's just a very good player. If anyone's a cult hero of the present squad, it's probably Ben Wilson.

Hugely impressive manager
Luton fans I’ve seen are just like us and as this is their second time you’d think they’d be more hopeful
Fair play they are humble and proud
He is a class act, not just in football terms, but the way he conducts himself in all aspects.

Nathan Jones did a fantastic job for us, particularly when you bear in mind we were almost certs for relegation when he came back. You got the feeling it had run its course before he left for the second time though, RE came in and made a real difference- we were by no means struggling when Jones went, but you could see a real difference.

There is a younger section of our fanbase that has only ever known us on an upward trajectory, but most of us remember the dark days only too well, we’re too long in the tooth to be making bold predictions!

Yeh I'd go along with this, never altered my opinion so drastically on a player. Used to think he was a clown keeper, which I stand by, he was terrible but his turn around this season, with nothing that's gone before in his career suggesting it was possible is quite remarkable. Stick the goal at Blackburn on top of that, a goal which ultimately got us into the play offs, and you have all the makings of a cult hero.

Unless he returns to clown mode at Wembley of course...

Well getting up will go a long way for you to get a new stadium! However make sure somebody called Fisher is not on the board as you will be into old age before you see it LOL!
We’ve had utter clowns in charge over the years promising stadiums with F1 tracks, floating roofs, and God knows what other nonsense. When our current board took over they inherited a total mess.

We finally got planning permission a few years back, only for Boris Johnson to appear on the telly and announce that the world had essentially ground to a halt, set the project back years!

I'd add the coffee with his elderly neighbour and getting into Shakespeare, the general "slightly mad, but nice" persona, swearing in that CWR interview that time...the goal's a big part of it though. Oggy is a City legend (and scored!) and obviously was a better player than him with that amazing run of top flight games, but you wouldn't call him a Cult Hero, you'd use terms like "most legendary goalkeeper" or "an institution".
