Really not sure what people are expecting? Up against a team full of talent, favourites to go up, and who play some of the best attacking football in the division and people wanted what? Us to throw men forwards?
Quite the reverse. Many have been asking for Godden to be dropped and put another in midfield so we don’t get overrun there.
Then break forward from midfield rather than just lumping it.

That’s exactly what some people by me were asking for. There are some clueless wankers in our fan base though who think we’re shit if it not constant pressing and flying tackles.

Spot on. We won’t out football Boro and we are here because of blood sweat and tears not atttacking football. Keep it tight and win it by the odd goal or even bloody penalties

They came for a 0-0 or to nick a goal. Play off semi final to get into the premier league and they’re time wasting in the first Half. It’s laughable…but you have to applaud it, it worked.

Tactics change on Wednesday, they’ll be more open, we play well on the break. Will be a completely different game. Start strong see where it takes us.

Stick it in the dressing room at Ryton tomorrow
Most replies there look to exude their own confidence but a coupla entertaining replies calling-out the original remark as unmerited

"Coventry are not $hit. Your post, however, is completely $hit. These things have a habit of coming back to bite, so best keep quiet until it's job done as we are only at half time in the tie"

"Coventry are definitely not $h1t. They carry some potency up front and are solid at the back and dangerous at set pieces. They have learned to press high and cause a little panic, there will be much more of that on Wednesday....."

I do think clobhoppers is a funny term, so the original poster still has earned a sticker

They’re very comfortable in possession . We’re a good counter attacking team and as we saw the other day they’re vulnerable on the break. It was obvious we’d not go gung-ho.

They can talk about empty seats but let's talk about how quiet their fans were for a playoff game

They were dreadful weren't they? I remember how loud they were last season at their place but both Monday and today, rubbish.

Fuck me, I’d rather Sunderland go up than Boro. The arrogance is nauseating. Their heads are so far up their arses.

Robins says during the week that there might be one or two surprises and puts out the same bloody lineup

Sheaf for Eccles
Allen for Godden

That way we pack the midfield as we were quite overrun for the first 35 mins

Fingers crossed Hamer hasn’t picked up an injury as he was rolling around quite a bit

I thought he said few surprises.

They believe attendances are all that matters up there proves how massive the club is. Like Sunderland who’ve won nothing in decades

The more I think about it Godden must be dropped to the bench.

Think this way:

It’s not ridiculous to imagine us playing 120-130 mins on Wednesday and you need him to take a pen rather than have him wandering around like a mugged tourist all that time and MR not taking him off (because he needs him on potential pens).
Subs are a thing

I don't think it was a great game it was actually a bit poor, but this was probably more to do with the occasion and I reckon the game on Wednesday will be more open. Tbh I was actually rather impressed how Middlesbrough kept the ball at times. A little bit annoyed that we didn't test their goalkeeper at home in a play off semi final. Middlesbrough are one of the best teams at home in the league and I did feel going into this that we needed a lead going into the second leg. Certainly not over though and getting through is more than achievable

Now it’s a straight one off game, anything can happen all pressure on Boro. Only takes a soft penalty, piece of magic or a Boro player getting over excited and putting a reckless red card tackle in

and another. Someone get their thread to robins and the lads…

‘They are already posting a link to this thread on the Coventry forum. Its the type of thing that makes back to opposition dressing rooms, that and the constant posts about Wembley make our fans look like deluded, arrogant Mackems.’

to be fair most of them have called out the original poster. Maybe their dickheads and our whiners could start a new forum
