This article is merely a bloke just quoting the law whilst also trying to be the good guy. He knows full well sisu have got no money and are not building a new stadium just like we all do so really his words mean nothing as sisu will and aren't interested in building a stadium.

If anyone on here seriously thinks sisu are building a new stadium wants their brain testing. It's not even hard for dicks like maton as he knows sisu aren't building one so all he has to do is spout a load of crap and he looks like a genius.

We need sisu gone from our club to progress until this happens we are nailed on for league 2.

But the statement does make it more difficult for SISU to persist in the Jam tomorrow statements. it effectively says to SISU there's a site talk to us....

Also if the council are seen to support a stadium within the city it will make any proposal from the club to the FA more difficult if the stadium is 10 miles out of the city.

It also makes it more difficult for neighbouring authorities to approve an application. No matter where it is there will be objections and if it can be shown that a suitable site exists within the city then any application is more likely to fail.

Dunlop location is not big enough and the traffic would be a nightmare. I think Coventry Airport area is the location (if there is a location at all) and that comes under Warwick COuncil. Perhaps Coventry Council can see that they will be losing another cash cow (rates etc) with us moving (I know its very doubtful)

Agreed but that was more to do with the noise of the planes. I think Warwick Council would approve a new stadium but like the majority on here, everyone thinks SISU is talking bollocks. We will see.

It's part of the Coventry Gateway project that's been called in by the Government.If approved I think the area close to the Stonebridge Highway would be better and that's in the Coventry council area.As for the cost issue SISU are going to need a partner someone like Whitbread who own Premier inns,Brewers Fayre

Don't think it was a problem. Lucas kept telling us they could survive without the club if they had to, ACL was profitable, CCFC only 9% of business, future looked bright, etc etc. For the sake of waiting another few years they have given the stadium to a franchise until 2264. I can't believe even the most staunch anti-SISU fan thinks that is in the best interests of all concerned.

The current situation is in the best interests of the city though.
