Thank you.
But don't agree with everything Rob has said. Does sound like very biased reporting of our situation. Seem to be selective and
anti-ACL, did it to me when he became supportive of Les Reid.
Amazing how Rob fails to mention the JR outcome and the damning statement the judge made against SISU regarding there intentions to distess ACL to get the stadium on the cheap and another judges decision that the failure to illegally pay rent.
Rob really hasn't done us city fans any justice by not reporting the whole facts.
Now thinking about.. it not worth listening to as he will just ruin your day wondering how this guy got airtime and just reported this one sided un-balanced nonsense.
TLO .. what you hear from Rob is not the whole picture. You can happily stick around here and you may learn more about what the real issues are with some balanced arguments.
I appreciate that he didn't reveal the whole picture; time was the main enemy on that score. I don't think I appreciated how convoluted it was, to be fair, before I asked him in. He did say that to tell the story would take all afternoon, and he also mentioned that there was more than one side to this, and that the CCFC fans didn't specifically present a united front. Sounds a bit messy.
I'll have a read-through presently. Bearing in mind most of us a largely ignorant of the story, it's a pity you thought the whole exercise unworthy.
But from Brighton, however you wish to come to a satisfactory conclusion - good luck with it all.

Thanks for posting, I'll have a listen later. It's not that the topic is unworthy, just that Rob S tends to pop up when SISU are on the ropes, without balance people will remain largely ignorant of the story.
Yes let's get Jack Griffin on the show for so e balance. Brighton fans will tune in and think they mistakenly tuned a party political broadcast for Coventry City Council.

TLO, thanks for the post.
If I could sum it up in a nut shell, our previous owners started us on the road to this chronic mess and now our current owners, ACL and the Council, all dont give a damn about the club and are all pathetic bickering tosspots who are more intested in their own voices and vested interests than that of the club. Us the fans are at the bottom of their list of concerns and are treated like sh*t.
Thanks for posting, I'll have a listen later.
To be honest..I wouldn't bother

What I seem to be getting from this is (a) it's a mess (b) there doesn't seem to be an urgency to sort it out amicably (c) the fans are not united, on the back of (d) some apparently appearing to have their own hard-and-fast agendas, leading to in-fighting.
Has it really got this bad?
I'd rather you didn't tell people not to listen to our show. Or don't people have their own minds?

You are not allowed to on here. You have to worship the council - as Dai is proving. The PR bit from Rob is spot on. We had a couple of high profile people on here who disappeared once the move back was confirmed. Others like jack griffin remain but still oddly can't post a football related item.
Fair point.. just thought I save them 20 minutes of one sided drivel sprouted out by this Rob fella which has done non of us sky blue fans any justice.
High profile... who??
Yes he does or are you now the elected representative for all CCFC fans?
You can happily stick around here and you may learn more about what the real issues are hopefully with some balanced arguments.
Other fans would piss themselves if they read some of the posts on here!
By balanced argument by the way he means pro council and pro ACL piffle.
I wouldn't stick around if I were you. You'll be reporting on supporters who;
Have never considered £1.3 million a year plus matchday costs in rent to be at a detrimental
Morning all.
I'm a Brighton fan who co-runs a weekly unofficial radio show / podcast on Radio Reverb, community radio in Brighton.
This week just gone, we had a Brighton-based Coventry fan, Rob Stevens, come on to the show to tell us about the ongoing woes your club is facing. For you, I suppose it's quite uppermost in your minds, and you're familiar with your story. For us, we wanted to know what was going on, as your story seems, well, a bit convoluted - though there are parallels with the nonsense Brighton went through from 1995-2011. We also wanted to know if there was anything we could do.
We just felt it right that a Coventry fan gets a chance to tell the story, as best as possible. We were then told it would take about five hours to tell it, so Rob made the best fist of it possible.
Most of the show is about Brighton, naturally, but Rob gets involved in all the conversations - especially on Brighton v Coventry matches of years passed - and he talks about it for 20 minutes or so during the show. You can hear it on www.albionroar.co.uk if you wish to listen in.
Oh, and apologies in advance for being a tad dismissive of the glorious city of Coventry. I'll call it banter for now.
Yeah, that.

Not real infighting. We just have some who try to blame Coventry council for everything. They want the arena handed over to a hedge fund in the hope they would sell up and go. They want a local charity to get no money back from a hedge fund but to hand over what they gave money for. All you will ever hear from them is that they know that the hedge fund have wrecked our club and will tell you that they are shit when questioned. But otherwise all you will get is constant barracking off the other sides from them. They seem to think that the louder they shout and the more they ignore the truth the more of us will listen and believe them.
We even had them try to make out that the JR wasn't a massive defeat for the hedge fund. That was after the judge had a right go at them. I could go on all night and then all week.
Ah, it's Mr. Objective.
