Just an idea here and it might not work, but just wondering if Cov Sphinx were playing at home on that day? If so, not only could it be made known that the fans will boycott the cup tie but that they will go elsewhere. May seem very embarrassing to the club for Sky Blues fans to go and support someone else for the day.
The capacity there at Sphinx is only a thousand anyway so it wouldn't take many City fans to go and make up the numbers. I know it's not a lot, but just think it would be an embarrassment for the club. People just don't turn up for the Southampton game and it could be labelled as being too cold/down to the economic situation etc. etc. and could just appear that people just aren't bothered. We need to show that we are bothered!
Think it's either this or City fans turning up outside the Ricoh but not going to the game. Just think that only staying away could be down to a multitude of reasons. Could organise a few to go to Cov rugby too.

I am struggling with this if i am honest. The thought of the lads (youngsters especially) battling there hearts out against a far superior team to get us a cup run, in front of empty stands with only away support to make noise. Is not a good feeling. On the football side it is a shit draw, however if we had put the WHU performance into the saints game WE WOULD HAVE WON! so maybe just maybe being the cup we could pull it off. On the other side though, I F****n hate SISU and i understand the thinking of it, but a cup run is a bonus, so they would not have expected the revenue anyhow!! So do we boycott and hope it hurts em, or do we support the team......beacuse they DO DESERVE THAT!!

No, he just voices an opinion contrary to many. He's not a SISU apologist, he just loves his club and is not about to let their presence stop him from supporting. He's not alone, and it is an entirely justifiable stance. I won't be going to Saints, but that doesn't mean I slam people who are.
Calling people "a dick" and worse is a bit much; tell him his opinions are crap in your opnion by all means, but he certainly isn't a WUM and I'm not sure why people are getting that impression.
What I am trying to say is that football fans are very fickle and when match day comes and that little buzz starts come 1 o'clock and you know your normally in the pub or whatever just before the match how many are going to actually stay away or protest outside the ground and actually not go in come kick off time.?
