What happened to the 2 year plan then?
Do we only start talking about that again when we drop down to 7th?
I've never bought into the 2 year plan. You look at what is in front of you and go out to achieve the highest position. I think when people talk about 2 year plans that can be seen in some ways of just dismissing the current season.I think when you've been in the top 1-4 for half a season, you've got to try and take that chance.
I still believe in the 2 year project, but we are going to lose Armstrong and Murphy, and also very likely to lose Maddison and possibly fleck in the summer.

Depends what you call messing up I suppose which depends on aspirations. If finishing top 2 is the ambition then just not losing games is probably not enough and not winning games such as Oldham, Doncaster,Chesterfield or today could be considered "messing up". If play offs is the ambition then there is a lot more margin for error
You have to factor key injuries too though. Just look at our back four at the moment. I know all sides get injuries, but it seems that we have key players who we really struggle to do without.Spot on.
If we really have the best manager, two premier league stars, the best striker in the division, a player some fans would consider not accepting a bid of £10 million for, a star in the making on the right side of midfield then surely that squad should be ahead of Burton and Walsall.

Haber is crap but he's exactly the sort of striker we have struggled against since we dropped into this division.Habers a handful. If it's stokes and Ricketts centre half he will give them a torrid time.

People throw around the must win tag willy-nilly but no match at this point in the season is a must win for any side. This is my point (put somewhat better than I did). I would have snatched the proverbial hand off if at the start of the season I`d been offered to be where we are now at this stage, but now we are here I agree for the reasons already outlined on here that the team should be trying for the autos as it`s target. On that basis the NEW City are missing out on too many wins.
Today`s game is not a "must win" but it is the sort of game we should be winning if we are to mount a serious challenge for the auto.
That's why we are going to get stuffed 8-2.I never like to take the piss too much before the game about we are going to hammer other teams, usually back fires!
They seem to think they will beat us
