It would be embarrassing if it was just a random fan but this is a trust board member who appears on local media to speak on the trusts behalf.

And represents the clubs supporters when meeting the Football League..

Imagine a CCFC promotion and a Wasps relegation after the RFU find out they were doing the same as Saracens ( I don’t know they have or have not disclaimer) and would be playing Coventry RFC. CCC meltdown big time

You mean does pr for wasps and the council?

He used to be the editor of a newspaper but struggles to read and every time he gets into a discussion he embarrasses himself.

Isn't the bond secured on the lease?
Then surely the insolvency practitioners/administrators will have to get as much money they could to go towards paying off the bonds and any other debts.
The issue will be if the lease reverts to the council. If it does then we'll be back to where we started and the council will have a fairly large piece of real estate sitting dormant.

You never listen. You still see SISU as the cause of everything. But they are not.

I have always had a go at SISU for everything I saw them at fault for. Can't think of anyone else who has had a go at them more. But not this time. It is so obvious what is going on. But as usual you refuse to consider anything other than what you 'know'
Sisu are the cause of us losing our home. You wont convince me otherwise. All the other shit that has come after yes I agree.

You still fail to mention that wasps were involved way before we moved.
Yes we know the council were courting wasps. But wasps werent at the ricoh when we left for Northampton were they. Sisu obviously had no idea either.
Leaving for sixfields was suicidal.

It's very relevant
Why is it? How far shall we go back with the blame game? As grendel says, its about the here and now.
We can all bitch and moan about who did what etc but how are we supposed to get wasps to alter their stance about us coming back? What can we do?

Because it showed the council's attitude to the club pre sisu.

1) get the trust to accept the indemnity clause
2) get CWR to accept it
3) bang their heads together until some public pressure is exerted on wasps to drop it

The leading fans group could question Wasps
The local paper could also and highlight the fact that their demands have contributed to forcing the local football club out of its home and city.
Both of the above could help to highlight the case that Wasps demands aren't helping the football club to return.
Both of the above could organise action to pressure Wasps on many fans feelings.
CWR could get involved too.....
See any issues here??

Cwr and the trust cant influence wasps to change their minds. That's totally out of their league.

Possibly not - but they can influence the public.

the Coventry public need to be hostile to wasps, especially now when the gates are down and they’re losing week in week out.

They spend every broadcast whipping Coventry fans up in frenzy by saying “bring us home” but never mention the sticking point

Of course they can. Look how Wasps react to the slightest bit of negative news. If they were being shown to be the ones causing the issue all over local media that would be a huge PR headache for them.
The local media? Don't you think the people of this city know what's gone on then? The vast majority of people in Coventry don't give a fuck about the football club. The trust? Forget them. Thwy wont rock the boat.

Didn't say they could Influence Wasps to change their minds.
They could help to highlight that Wasps demands are a massive issue.
Some people's ONLY ideas of what goes on come from The Cov Tel, CWR etc....
The local media and fans group will just not do it.... Why?..... think that has been covered slightly on here....

But wasps have been here for years now. This should of been done then. The general public arent bothered. I'd even say most of the wasp fans arent Coventry locals anyway.

The trust organised a march where a fair number turned up. But yeah - we need to know why they won’t rock the boat.

we seem to have enough people to get wound up about SISU. We need to wind them up enough to make wasps lives uncomfortable

I imagine if the trust organised another march in protest at wasps itd be a flop. I think people have just lost interest/have no fight/cant be bothered. It's all to late.

Wasps are though. They are far more sensitive to bad publicity than Sisu. Richardson is not a wasps fan at all and could be made to feel very uncomfortable about the whole set if circumstances they have led to this

I’m told he is already very very unhappy about it

Last time, against the owners, it had the backing of cov tel, cwr etc, at a time when social media was not as widespread.
They have the opportunity to make it even bigger if they wanted to this time round...
None of them want to...
They could whip up a frenzy against Wasps.
They wont.

Possibly, which is why it’s sad that they’ve backed Wasps.

The problem is the club needs backing more than anything. Your position might not change but the trust have the power to galvanise fans to go and support the club - be their life support

Really don't understand why anybody would back wasps/CCC over their/our own football club....
This is also why "away games only" baffles me too....

Interesting. I never knew that. We know the trust and local media arent interested in kicking up fuss. I think it's a complete waste of time engaging with them. What exactly can we do? Set up a new fans group? Crowdfund adverts in the nationals about what's gone on? What?

This bollocks needs to stop as well unless you've any evidence? Nobody backs wasps/council over their football club.

I’ve emailed the FSA to see if there’s a process to complain about the member.

I think we need to engage them a bit better this year, I’m guilty of it but CJ is always rounded on here. We maybe need a new tactic.
