"Word is"? What does that mean?

And as he is a free agent why would it be a clever move?

I'd have thought the quality of football is above league one, but I could easily be wrong, playing in front of 22k people and living in New York seems pretty damn appealing to me when you are leaving Coventry and 2k crowds.

No idea if the story has any basis in fact though

It is leaving Northampton. I think it would be a bad move but money comes into it.

Word is Waggott refuses to talk to Cyrus's agent who incidently is also Callum Wilson's agent a sideways move to a foreign club and then loaned back to an English one would be a clever move I would say.

Isn't their agent Cyrille Regis?

I cant help but think that Cyrus comes across as a money guy, rather than a "I desperately want play for England" kind of guy.
Where the fuck do you get that idea from, do you know him ? have you spoken to him ? I do and have and there is not more honest level headed young man at the club. Would love to stay and carry on representing HIS club but is being driven away by others at the club for money and have had them on his case for over 12 months as they desperately try to get funds in but he has resisted and will go where he wants to go to. Will be one of the last of that breed too as the guy who nurtured them Gregor Rioch was driven out too but that's another story.

I reckon a lot of stories will come out after SISU have gone.

SISU will look to blacken Christies name and a lot of fans will fall for it, it is my belief that the contract offer on the table is no higher than his last one. Just written different

No their agent is London based with a number of Chelsea and Arsenal younger players on his books including Arron Ramsey for one.

Huddersfield it is then.

If thats true we really are in freefall. To not want to keep our cov kids really must mean we are close the the "bottom of the cycle"

Would certainly explain his dip in form

Yeah wish we'd kept Bigi he'd be worth £35 million by now.

There is nothing wrong at all with it. What's wrong is we never manage to sell for money. Christie will reject attempts to sell him because his agent will tell him that there is better deals as a free agent. Sisu's problem is they have never managed to get rid of players for money.

I would love us to still have Bigi.
How has the team benefited from his departure ?

He was grossly over rated. He couldn't even get in the team when he was here.

Christie is very mediocre. Both will ultimately be lower championship players at best.

Fuck me Grendel stop it!!

I actually agree with you most if not all of our team are really mediocre as our showings in the tables over the last few seasons have showed.

Thing is we have to back what we have or we wouldn't bother going anymore....

Bigirimana was 17/18 when he was here before and playing in an extremely poor team at the time. It's hardly the best situation to pass judgement on him.

It was the same situation with people writing off Turner when he was only 18/19 for us, or last season when our fans were constantly mocking Wilson.

He is/was much better than Thomas

Makes you wonder what all the hysteria was about when he went for a trial with Liverpool with a possible £1million fee.

Should have said no to the trial and just taken the money.

The trial to Liverpool the reason that Hoffman resigned wasn't it?

Not the best judge I'd say.

Agreed from what I've seen in the last few years, £1 million would have been an incredible deal for us.

What is his value now? 100-200k max?

Could it be that Thomas has had an up-and-down season, and we can't really judge Bigi's qualities because we haven't seen him play since he left.

I note that SP seems to be very happy with Thomas - and personally I'm happy to trust his judgement.

Either way, I think it's clear that we're going to have a very young team next year - inevitably I think that means crests and troughs in individual and team form as they find their way. I think we're all going to have to learn some tolerance of that. (Imho).

Think we may have got £250,000 "loan" fee from Liverpool at the time, if so, a good deal for once.

Turner, Dann, fox, keogh, juke, clarke, Bigi? , got to be 10 million there hasn't there?

No about £5 million profit enough to have paid Freddie Eastwood transfer fee and 5 year contract.

How much did Leon Clarke cost to bring in? Was he a free or...?

No he certainly would not have been free but would have had a substantial signing on fee. The profit on Dann and Fox was very small and the profit on Juke was under a million.
