Yes you couldn't make it up. I have no idea why anyone is taking this remotely seriously.

£50m??????????????? Did someone strike gold or oil underneath the Ricoh? Wasps bought it for less than £5m 3 years ago, how has it increased in value by 1000% in that time? And you think £150-£200m is needed to get us going again? Go back to bed mate, you've obviously not had enough sleep as your mind seems scrambled!

With out reading it all oucho , is there a few taken in by it all then ?

Read a post last night from someone he owes money too that said he’s a complete fantasist, he’s known him since school and he hasn’t got a pot to piss in, he lives on the outskirts of Norwich with his inlaws and absolutely craves the attention.
Have you got a link to that please?

There seem to be plenty of credulous types on the Facebook page in particular ready to believe him. I'm not dismissing him outright. If the ex-chairman of Visa, who, let's face it, is in a position to know, says someone has got the money they claim to have, then you can't totally write it off. If it wasn't for that I'd have tuned out long ago.

As a rule of thumb I tend to go with the theory that the more times Facebook gets mentioned in conjunction with something the less likely it is to be true.

Really shocked that there is such low life’s out there shockingly very sad individual who needs a lot help.

I hope he doesn’t turn up at any matches could get ugly.

Thank you for a considered response. I can accept your argument and to a point even agree with it.
Where I differ is that I believe it is easy to ridicule and scorn a person without knowing the facts and feel that it is better to wait and see the outcome before sticking the knife in.
Sadly Dale Evans was never given that opportunity.

With all respect, the issue here is that the facts don't match his story in a number of places. Pointing that out isn't sticking the knife in - if he doesn't make false claims (about, say, meeting people from the club) then he doesn't get called out on them. Getting out from under SISU would be brilliant, but I don't want to see us being used as part of some bizarre publicity stunt. Again.

Having seen the evidence from both sides and analysed I would conclude to date that Mr Evans is a fraud.

On balance I think so too.

Hoffman's recent statement can be read in different ways, maybe he didn't make a statement dismissing Evans outright in order to keep public pressure on SISU to sell, LOL.

Come on, pal, put the PC megaphone away. This forum is as non-racist as they come, and most of us are above maliciously stereotyping genuine people.

Dale Evans, like most of us called, is completely full of it. This is what we should be accustomed to by now, which is why I literally facepalm myself whenever another "sky blue fan/potential buyer" surfaces.

It's nothing overly cynical, just realistic.
You can defend an overtly racist and discriminatory comment on here but you can't wait to call out Dale Evans?
Well that's the sort of guy you are.
The bleating on here about vulnerable fans makes my heart break. Are you that fragile.
If he is a fraud then what has he gained but more to the point what have any of you lost?

Oh dear, still not acknowledging his lies?

Why don’t the CET go to Norwich interview him and ask to see any of this prove themselves.
He can show them emails, phone records and most importantly prove of wealth.
They can promise not to print any of the contact with club stuff until a deal is it isn’t done.
However they can run a story saying they have seen the prove of wealth and are happy to confirm it or put it all to bed for once and for all if he hasn’t got the money.

They interviewed him last week. They didn't do any of it or ask anything, just let him contradict

Hoffman confirmed he’s “got the money” hasn’t he?

Drop the race card - it's ridiculously tenuous and bang out of order. The scams that Nick referred to are known as 'Nigerian 419'. They originated in Nigeria and the '419' even refers to the specific article of Nigeria’s Criminal Code updated to outlaw the practice. There was nothing racist about it.

You want to get personal over a matter like this, is that correct?

Do not twist my words to defend your misguided pride, Dale Evans is a fraud but you don't have the knackers to hold your hands up.

You waffle on about respectful replies and whatnot, yet you get personal when confronted with the obvious.

Says a lot about who you are, pal, moreso that what it says about me. If you still wish to be a hypocrite, please reply again.

Dale Has just stuck on Facebook that he had a call from someone claiming to be a sisu representative last night confirming a deal was acceptable but it turned out to be a hoax.

Sort of contradicts the ‘leaked’ message saying the meeting went well.

Still you got to wait and see or you’re racist.

He's confirmed he's seen something to suggest he's serious...

What’s that? A reference from Preston Haskell? He’s on the consortium now according to the CT

Dale Evans is an unnecessary complication, Hoffman has a consortium of "Coventry businessmen" which he is the front man.
All the other sensible consortium members don't want any publicity until a deal is done & dusted, very wise too.

Hoffman just said "When, or if, there is something to announce it would come from him directly."

He said he has seen proof Evans has substantial wealth and welcomed him to the consortium.

Wonder who it was only a few knew an offer had gone in.
Who has the most to gain from this I wonder?
Trying to break the consortium up with these leaks and other mind games.

Well so what, don't think its a deal maker or breaker, frankly I don't care if he is genuine or a fraud as long as there is a serious consortium with members who will do their best to look after the club and get it back where it belongs, to a level befitting the only fully professional team in one of the largest cities in England, which is the Championship or better.

Yep and I will too if God pops down to planet Earth to tell me he does exist.

The bottom line is, even if Dale Evans proves that he actually does have the money he's still made himself look very, very daft at best.

Isn't this the second telling off Hoffman has thrown in his general direction?
