Here we go again ha ha
Not sure why we haven't thought of signing an Indian player, we'd have a full house every week... or maybe we could sign an English player and have to do a temporary ground share at the Nou Camp to fit everyone in. As thats clearly how it works...

Looks like we can only sign English Premier League players lads, this random forum bloke says players who haven't played at the level like Jamie Vardy whoplayed much lower than Vente will never make it.

Feckin melt
You say Jamie Vardy, I say Kyle Hudlin, let’s call the whole thing off.

I thought it would be uncontroversial to say that a guy with international caps who played in Serie A last year would be a better signing than a total unknown being plugged on Twitter by the Dutch Saddlebrains, but I didn’t realise you wore Dylan Vente pyjamas to bed every night.

He played 5 games in Serie B.

Vente played over 20 games for Feyenoord and scored a few goals as a youngster too didn't he, which is a decent level. Then went out to play regularly and has done pretty well. Not sure what the issue is here, discussing rumours is far preferable to arranging fights, shitty puns and people asking Saddlebrains to toss them off which is all we get if we aren't doing that.
Should probably drop the talk now though mind you as its pretty obvious he's not coming here.

Would be a much better signing than Dylan Vente, that’s for fucking sure.
I've heard of neither as i said before, so no bedtime stories from me to Vente, he might be good, he might be awful jut ill trust the club who have scouted him over some random forum wannabe who doubles down ridiculous opinions and says a possible incoming isn't good enough.

Completely agree Rob, put our faith in Mark and the recruitment team

Just like Whittaker
He's already gone to Plymouth hasn't he?

And if not he was L1 last year, SBT isn't having anyone who's not regularly played at the level.

Vente isn’t a possible incoming, we’re not interested in him. You’re shilling for a player who’s not even good enough to be on our radar, and there’s no indication we ever even scouted him. Add him to the Shankland pile.

I'm shilling for nobody ffs you were the one who brought him into the page simply so you could slag him. I have no preference nor any idea if we'll sign Darius Danesh either. I'll add neither to any pile until confirmed by the offal. I have no idea why you're pretending to know about either. I'd wager you've never seen either of them live and if you're prepared to admit it I doubt you'd heard of them before mentioned on here. How you can hhen look at some stats and form an opinion versus a scouting network I have no clue!

I must of admit that I had never heard of him. If you check out youtube videos from 3 years ago, he was a very good transition player. Like Vik collect the ball In midfield, hold of a couple of players then lay it off.

Looking at more videos on youtube I really like the look of him. Really quick feet, very similar to O'hare. I wonder with the signings of Sakamoto and potentially Denis we are looking at playing the box more this season and being possession heavy.

Oh, when we walk, it always feels so nice
And when we talk, it seems like paradise

Worth pointing out to people that only look at Wiki stats to judge a player off, on the face of it O'Hare didn't do much for us in league 1, which is hardly a brilliant standard of football. Whereas we all know he was one of our best players.

No fucker knows where Sakamoto is going to play, or how he fits into the system.
Even MR sounds unsure. If (big if) we sign the Dutch RWB, then Sakamoto is left fighting for a place on the bench.
He doesn't appear to be a striker, and we don't play with wingers, he's not a defensive midfielder, and I can't see him starting ahead of Hamer or Palmer on current form.

Looks like his role could be impact sub,
but i guess thats something we didn't have last season.

LWB?

We already have two!

The signs point to him playing in an attacking midfield role - we’re not about to start buying players for £2+ million just to only play one of them at a time.

Still think Bidwell will be off or moved to LCB.

If we sign a striker, which I expect is to, we’ll have to drop either a signing or O’Hare/Palmer. Same if we sign two more CBs as I’d expect. The plan seems to be signing 14 players, so there’s no way we can play everyone every game.

I wonder if we won’t see a formation change mid season as we work out how to best fit everyone in.

I hope that’s not the case with Bidwell - he’s a good LWB and we should be looking for a long-term dedicated solution at LCB rather than looking to make do.

Neither Palmer nor O’Hare can be trusted/expected to bear a big workload this season given their injury history, so I would expect them to get rotated. By contrast, I’d be disappointed if we’re spending seven-figure sums on players like Sakamoto, Simms and Van Ewijk just to have them only start 25/30 games.

I agree though that a formation change is more likely than not this season.
