Delicious ball in from Grimes for the winner.
Height & curved flight. Haji's new found bulk provided further distraction & space before
Bobby delivered the finish of which any top striker would be proud.

I know it’s been asked a thousand times before, but to aid an aged technophobe.
Has anyone got the link to where I email to get my grandsons birthday on the screen for next Saturday pls.
What Frostie said is right, but you need to get it in before Thursday, they do reply to your request to confirm it's in for the game, had my 25 year old lads birthday message up against Stoke

Derby are depleted. I’d say we’ve got to fancy ourselves for three points.

I would make changes and use the squad. Allen, Sheaf, Wright, BTA, Bidwell all in for me.

Resting MVE a huge risk, but I would. Lati genuinely appalling there last time though so May regret it.

Nah, if MvE isn't actually injured he plays here and Blunderland. He can rest during the upcoming international break.

I'm not adverse to Allen Sheaf and Bidwell getting the nod. But If BTA & Wright come in, where do they play? Wright isn't effective centrally, meaning he'd have to play LW or as we saw Saturday, BTA is not a LW. Then BTA centrally? No thanks, it would severally deplete our threat.

BTA shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI unless we play a front two. Even then, I'd play Bassette over him.

Not for me
First goal was assante not passing and we were completely out of position
Second offside
Oxford bad headed goal from corner
Do we suddenly look open again? I’m not so sure
The first goal wasn’t BTAs fault. Our whole back four and two of our midfielders were in position when he lost it. The fact that 3 Stoke players managed to beat six Cov players so easily is entirely down to our defending. It reminded me slightly of the goal conceded at home to Sheff Wed where we had enough covering players, but somehow got cut open as if it we didn’t.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Poor marks because he he didn't hold the ball or make the safe pass but he lost it some way into the Stoke half and our midfield and defence was not out of position, it was them that failed to stop the counter attack.

Blackburn have not been great of late so Derby's win may not be a sign of an upsurge in their form. But Euctice will start getting them results and so this may be tough if we don't get an early goal. We should be winning it but teams on tremendous runs in football get beat at somepoint, like Leeds at Pompey. It could be a similar result.
We are not too convincing atm even though we have won games. That fortune will change inevitably. It's so tough to predict. I'd be happy with a draw keeping us in 5th place. I can't see us losing.

Same team except Wright in for EMC who has a knock and will be on the bench. If MVe is unfit then Lati should start. Bidwell in for DeSilva.

Weve won 9 out of 10 - pretty convincing is that

Yes BTA drifted in field, aimlessly and lost ball - silly.

But christ, there was so much then to happen from that point, midfield not tracking runners (torp) defence not set and also gallacher running miles offside just took LK eye off ball also, LK should have also stayed on feet, etc etc Thomas also had awful position.

Feels like we've been sloppy of late defensively but also some bad luck - Sheff Wed OG, Preston offside, Oxford foul 1st goal, stoke 2nd offside. Clearly we still need to do better reacting etc but perhaps some balance.

Derby have potentially 10 players out for the game.

We've got to win this one. Even if EMC and MVE are out we should still have enough to beat these guys. Still can't see us keeping a clean sheet and the moment. Cov 3-1.
Yeah, but you just watch some spotty, spindly 16 year old, play his first ever game for them and go and bag the winner with a shinny deflection in the 14th minute of time added on.

We will also have 5 goals disallowed and 12 penalty claims turned down. 🤪

The navigation, that used to be the away pub is closed but is now a takeaway pizza place.

Away pub is usually the Harvester but it's got a tiny bar. I can't think of any other pubs around the ground for away fans. The Brunswick is a decent pub which isn't too far but on the other side of the station.

If anyone has any last minute drop outs, I need another (friend on 900+). Can meet up on the night.

They’ve got Yates up top. Doesn’t he always score against us? They have injuries galore and a 6 pointer with Plymouth so there’s talk of resting some players and going for that instead.

Might be a good time to play these.

Have to fancy ourselves here - rumours of them missing 10 players through injury + our fantastic form. I know we have doubts on EMC and MVE, I'd be siding to resting them with some bigger games on the horizon (albeit Lati scares me, Wright is class but maybe not match fit for a start) I'd also like to see minutes in Rapha and Bassette. Watching the clips of them in training they look much sharper and hungry, not saying start but would love for them to get a chance.

Barry Town 1 - 2 Aberystwyth Town

Late goal back from Barry, after being 2 nil down. Probably Oliver Hulbert* with the consolation goal.

*The internet can very much be your friend sometimes.
Fun fact. Aberystwyth Town are the only Welsh club never have to dropped out of the top division.

I’ll set up a match analysis thread.

It’s a dangerous approach picking and choosing the games you can get points from. I doubt Derby have the squad flexibility to do it anyway.

I cant help shake the feeling this isn't going to go to plan

Yet im confident we get we 4 points from Sunderland and Burnley so work that one out 🤷😂
I'm actually getting more confident as we approach. I was thinking draw but really we should be fancying our chances logically. I'll wait to hear what the team is before i go all in on the 3 points prediction though.

We’ve got a deep squad and it’s time to use it, id go back to a 532 and put either Eccles or Sakamoto at RWB then move to a 442/451 out of possession.

Dovin
Lati Thomas Kitching
Sakamoto Sheaf Grimes Torp Bidwell
BTA Simms

without the ball

Dovin
Lati Thomas Kitching Bidwell
Sakamoto Sheaf Grimes Torp
Asante Simms

No sorry, we have to and must go with the strongest side we can field. We aren’t the side that can just drop one or two and replace with players who haven’t really got much game time! Go with the stronger side or we will regret it !

Same.

If MVE and EMC are both fit, I really fancy our chances. If MVE is missing, especially, I am thinking draw.

We really do not have adequate cover for MVE. Really hoping that doesn't come back to bite us as the season draws to an end

Was listening to post match coverage on CWR from Saturday earlier, and someone text in to say Derby is a free hit. It’s such nonsense that I almost felt it’s a personal attack on my unpopular ‘must win’ approach - which is more often said in jest.

Tomorrow being a free hit is surely the thoughts of a maniac?
