With EMC and MVE out we should still have more than enough to win

Your point? Are you suggesting we will win every game? Nothing wrong with some constructive thoughts Grendel. Your one liners are getting tiresome.

Your post match post after we beat Stoke was desperately not trying to give praise to Lampard.

You even made some comment about the opposition manager and praising them for engineering a comeback.

The reality is we have grown as a club enormously since the management change and without it would be nowhere near the play offs let alone in it.

If there are doubts with Milan and EMC it makes sense to put them on the bench. As others have said we should have enough to beat a depleted Derby without them and hold them back for Saturday, but they would be a couple of cracking options to bring on as impact subs if we are chasing a goal.

They will start if fit and wont if not. Resting them wont be an option im sure. Great chance to go several points clear of 7th

I just read through the thread and simply don't get people saying they'd take a draw. If we are continuing our playoff push, a draw against Derby wouldn't be a good result. I think Derby would be happy with a draw. We should be expecting a win tomorrow.

It is puzzling how people seem to discount the importance of points on a table as tight as this one.

Blackburn have not been great of late so Derby's win may not be a sign of an upsurge in their form. But Euctice will start getting them results and so this may be tough if we don't get an early goal. We should be winning it but teams on tremendous runs in football get beat at somepoint, like Leeds at Pompey. It could be a similar result.
We are not too convincing atm even though we have won games. That fortune will change inevitably. It's so tough to predict. I'd be happy with a draw keeping us in 5th place. I can't see us losing.

Same team except Wright in for EMC who has a knock and will be on the bench. If MVe is unfit then Lati should start. Bidwell in for DeSilva.
Agree, teams on great runs sometimes lose to the most unlikely opponents. Liverpool went forever not losing at home. Think they put 8 past Palace in a cup match then lost their home record to them later in the season.

Eccles has played at RWB a few times, and from memory has always played well there.
I think he finds it easier than central midfield as most of the play is in front of him and to his left, and as much as he is criticised he has a good right foot.
Apart from his first match there against Sunderland away, he has been good there. Don't think Lamps sees him in that role.
