Depends how much you would want a tenant who is abusing the law trying to make you pay 30m more for something you 'own' already.
Yes money talks.
I didn't say Wasps don't want CCFC there, its just they don't want SISU there. Hoffman has already stated that he sees no problem with his consortium doing a deal with Wasps. Perhaps there is a deal available to Hoffman's group, that won't be available to SISU. You could hardly blame Wasps if that is the case.Depends how much they want a stadium naming rights deal and how important it is to their business plan. After all, money talks.
was that before they said they knew SISU were going to appeal ?They seem quite open to it. Wasps 'willing to talk' with Coventry City about Ricoh Arena deal
Dated 8th May.They seem quite open to it. Wasps 'willing to talk' with Coventry City about Ricoh Arena deal

That was in May before the £30M figure was talked about in court.

fair enough i dont keep up with who knew what when and where just sick of all the shit to be honestIt was said after they knew they were being sued. Which is what I was replying to. Would Wasps want to work with a company who is/will sue them? It would appear they do.

Not the figure, just the intention to claim unspecified damages.Wasps knew...
Wasps appreciate that, while CCFC is the name that is behind the court cases, the action is not being taken by people who run CCFC on a day-to-day basis.
SISU are chasing this action and are using CCFC as their vehicle to driver their court appeals.
Wasps done nothing wrong? There ever so understanding. It's why our academy is under threat as none of the other 17 sites were suitable. I'm tired of Wasps being painted as doing nothing wrong. The only thing Wasps (Owners) appreciate is money. Hence why I said they will deal with us as they want naming rights. They don't give a shit about our owners or how we are run. Just that we assist in helping their business plan.
Doubt they are expecting a different result.
So why have they not announced a naming rights deal then? Why does it seem that any deal hinges on CCFC's commitment to the arena?
If CCFC are as big an irrelevance as people like you and Italia say, please tell us all why Wasps haven't managed to secure a deal for naming rights. Despite finishing top of their league. Despite the big name signings.
Who has said they are understanding? Most are saying the opposite. The quote I had used insinuated Wasps were understanding, that they appreciate it's SISU taking legal action not CCFC. My point was I'm fed up of being told by CCFC fans how Wasps are understanding and we only have to ask. I haven't made out people have said anything, nor do I frequently do it.
But you have said what you accuse others of saying :banghead:It was said after they knew they were being sued. Which is what I was replying to. Would Wasps want to work with a company who is/will sue them? It would appear they do.

The Wasps owner has said he will talk when legals stop. SISU haven't stopped them. The CET asked him if they will talk. He said yes. They should have asked would they talk with ongoing legals.I have just explained again and you still don't get it. A poster put Wasps appreciate it's not the club suing them. Now does that not insinuate that they are understanding? Do we not have people defend Wasps on here? Peeler? Italia?
People have said why would Wasps work with a company that is suing them. I linked in the CET article in which Nick Eastwood states that he will talk with CCFC, the article was published after they would have known they were being sued by CCFC. I have never said why would a company work with another company if being sued. Not sure what's difficult to understand.
The statement is them trying to separate the club from this case and implies that any distraction or cost from it will not have any effect on the playing side of the club. Well, if this is the aim of this statement i don't think it will work with the majority, most just want them to stop dragging the club down with this constant aim of trying to detach the club away from its city.
I just don't get it.
Surely the more money they throw at legal challenges the less likely Joy's statue will ever be built.
CT reaction is predictable - blame the fans;
"Where, exactly, do those who support Sisu by buying tickets and merchandise think the litigation money is coming from? From investors' portfolios? From offshore accounts (thereby eating into shareholders' profits? From thin air?
How explain Sisu's policy of NOPM towards buying top-draw players? How explain TV pundits' and former professional footballers' animosity towards the owners?
Surely even the densest ticket buyers must by now see its time for a 100% boycott."

whatHow explain
I am quite ambivalent about this.
I don't really see any logic behind the assertion that SISU are spending money they could otherwise invest in the team. Nor do I think the club is funding the legal action.I also do not have any problem at all with the council's actions being examined in court (even if they have followed the rules).
However, it's all getting tiresome now. We're past the point where it can be undone to the direct benefit of CCFC. As much as I hate saying it, we have to build bridges with Wasps to try and get a deal from them that benefits CCFC as much as is possible. Let them get on with what they do and concentrate on getting us back up to the Championship and then reassess our options.
They can do more appeals. And am sure that if they get as far as the High Court and get turned down they can go to the European Court of justice
