Following on that logic, then SISU may as well get us relegated the following season as well, as presumably Conference football would be cheaper to finance than Division 2.Their move to Sixfields is set to lose the club about 80-90% of their 'customers' this season with no guarantee that many will return if and when they deem to return the club back to its City. The world doesn't live in a vacuum , once a customer is lost often they are lost for good. In the meantime their move to Sixfields will guarantee that SISU will continue to lose money on an increasing scale. Unless their is a last minute deal, in less than 2 weeks the reality of what Fisher has done will be laid bare. Some fans like to speculate how will ACL survive without CCFC, maybe a more pertinent question will be how long can CCFC/SISU survive without the vast majority of its fans.

There are two fundamental reasons that SISU have agreed to talk to ACL. Firstly, they want the CVA signed. Up until now ACL have refused to do this.

SISU aren't stupid. I believe the second reason is the lack of season ticket sales is such a big problem that that their investors won't fund the shortfall which is why they're talking again. If the move to Northampton goes ahead the club will be in catastrophic meltdown with (perhaps) 70% or more of their customer base gone for ever. I guess it won't last the five years the Football League has agreed to. The way season ticket sales are I can see three or four relegations due to the lack of any revenue to pay wages. IF the fans boycotted businesses that supported / sponsored the club then the club (and SISU) would be finished.

ACL should stand firm and so should the fans. It could be that SISU are on the run....

Whatever happens the club as we know it is finished under the current owners. Damaged below the waterline...

To me the only logic there can be, and why this 'war' with ACL is so bitter, is Sisu are 100% focused on distressing ACL to get the Ricoh on the cheap.
They are prepared to wait it out in Northants (losing a lot of gate money) to do just that- and may well think they will win the case against CCC to nudge things in their favour.
The club has no assets and Sisu will sell it's potential (which remains a Championship club)-- that's what they do as a debt centred Hedge fund- they sell potential to interested parties...

@Houdi, - I can't believe a drop to the conference would be in the plan, but the way things are going the situation could get out of control and it could happen.

@The Prefect - You could be right there, I think the cold feet are beginning to emerge.
