Yes 500 calories of protein dense food will keep you fuller than 500 calories of chocolate, and different food groups have different benefits. But ultimately, optimising the ratios of food groups you eat is simply a way of making you stick to your calorie deficit.

No. 100 calories of one food can be be very different to 100 calories of another food. How they’re made up, where they’re coming from- the days of just going by calories went out years ago, our knowledge is much better now. Counting calories is a waste (and a very nasty slog) unless you know how those calories are comprised. Modern & really successful methods don’t really even take calories into account too much. It’s good for mindset & discipline at the start, but once you’ve started & got a little momentum you really needn’t bother to track them.

Also if someone is stalling it’s because they are no longer running a deficit - they’re either consuming more calories again or their caloric requirements have dropped because they have less body mass now, so they need to further reduce intake

I myself yoyo in weight all the time, but i have a ceiling where if i get above it (and im talking 10-15lbs from my desired weight) i cut the crap and just fix it. Enter a half marathon. See a therapist for the underlying issues. Stop drinking alcohol. At the end of the day people get fat because naughty good feels good and they aren’t exercising enough to offset it. Getting obese doesn’t happen overnight either, it takes YEARS sometimes to get to the state people are in.
Is ozempic a good thing? Undoubtedly if people can use it as a catalyst to change their life for the good. If they can use it to drop some serious weight and then make the desire to be slim stronger than the desire to indulge in the short term, fantastic.
Is it a one stop shop to a healthy life? Are people going to take injections for the rest of their life because they can’t control their cravings and treat the underlying psychological issues properly? No. It just masks the issue which js people cannot control their impulses. As soon as you come off it people are starving and pile the weight back on, it’s well documented.
It doesn’t replace healthy lifestyles and impulse control. It merely subdues the latter while you are taking injections.

I see what Shmmeee is saying, about society enabling the causes of obesity but, as you say, you have to accept personal responsibility, and I say this as a fat guy.The excuses you're coming out with are mind boggling, just take ownership of it and make the changes necessary to lead a healthy life.
Also, It's cheap as anything to eat healthy. I know for a fact you can have something like porridge with milk and frozen fruits for about £3 a week. A dozen eggs are about the same price, throw in a few bits of veg for another £2, and you have healthy breakfasts for the whole week for a fiver or less. Both can be prepared in a microwave for 2 minutes. How much cheaper and easier do you want it to be?
