I bet you can’t even articulate what “it” is.Sorry, don’t agree.

Private landlords, oligarchs, trust funds etc. Couple that with council not building enough social housing and/or selling social housing off in bulk to housing agencies. When old people die not enough of that housing goes directly to the people who will end up living in it. That could have been addressed decades ago.Whose hands are they, shmmeee? Old people?

It is probably means different things to different people. For me it is the prioritisation of the demands and feelings of a vanishingly small minority over those of the majority. Expemplified perhaps by a PM who cannot define what a woman is. One day a “woman“ with a cock will rape a woman without one in a woman’s only space ( for all I know it may already have happened) and that will be the fault of the woke brigade..I bet you can’t even articulate what “it” is.
I really don’t have the slightest idea of what you’re going on about.Property is theft?
That’s just word salad. It is probably means different things to different people. Honestly, I think it’s madness.
If there are no private landlords, how are people going to be able to rent a property to live in until they can afford to buy?I really don’t have the slightest idea of what you’re going on about.
The fact is the best chance of your property falling into the hands of your grandchildren to live in when you die, short of you willing it to them, is for the property market to stagnate while average earnings catch up while ensuring that it doesn’t fall into the hands of private landlords by culling buy to let and curbing how much you can spend in relation to your earnings. We should have done that 20 years ago.
Fine. You have your opinions, I have mine. That’s just word salad.
Pretty sure it will be the fault of the perpetrator. That’s typical how crime works. What you’re saying isn’t even tangible. Women are far more at risk of toxic masculinity and the statistics overwhelmingly back that up unlike the bollocks you just spouted. If women safety really is at the heart of your concern you’re backing the wrong horse. There’s a reason why people like Brand and Tate grift off to the right, it’s a safe haven for them. Brand is quite possibly single handedly responsible for more sexual abuse cases than the entirety of the British trans community.
How much you can spend on what in relation to which earnings?I really don’t have the slightest idea of what you’re going on about.

When a lot of old people die, there properties need quite a lot spending in them to bring them up to a modern standard. Developers / landlords and the like seem keener to do that than private buyers for owner occupation.Private landlords, oligarchs, trust funds etc. Couple that with council not building enough social housing and/or selling social housing off in bulk to housing agencies. Im not sure you could or even should stop people selling to the highest bidder. I think executors have a responsibility to maximise the value of the estate for the beneficiaries (and IHT purposes).
The only reason trans gets so much airtime is because the right is obsessed with them. It’s a faux issue in the big scheme of things. Met police officers are a bigger danger to women. TV presenters are a bigger danger to women. Men who drink too much are a bigger danger to women. MP’s are a bigger danger to women. In a danger to column inches the real issue is other demographics are underreported. That has been largely driven by the political ideology of the right needing a cover story and a compliant majority right leaning press.Fine. You have your opinions, I have mine.
You are right about crime being the fault of the perpetrator. Facilitators would have at least some moral responsibility - which is really what I should have said in the first place.
The stats are bound to be as you have described as the trans community is so small, and yet its voice carries such a disproportionate weight.
There was a report of nurses having to share a changing room with an intact male - female trans and feeling uncomfortable and complaining. Not unreasonable (the complaint) to me but the hospital management sent them off to be educated. Brain washed more like.
If the boot was on the other foot, management would have taken a very different stance.

Many other countries dont have the UK obsession with home ownership, do they? All of this waffle is just avoiding the undeniable fact that house prices have sky rocketed compared to wages and it has serious social and economic impacts. The housing bill is huge. People can’t move to London and be productive if they want to. Huge swathes of otherwise disposable income is sent to landlords and often out of the economy.
You’re pretending as if someone’s suggesting dropping prices to zero and shooting all landlords and not just building enough homes so that we have a similar amount to other countries that don’t have our problems.
Jesus Christ you’re scraping the bottom of the excuse barrel. People are free to sell to anyone they like, you’re completely missing the point. The point is that the housing market has been pushed out of the aspirations of a generation by design. You may have done well out of it and I know I have but that is coming at a huge cost to my children and your grandchildren. I had opportunities my children are unlikely to ever see if things continue as they are and I happen to have more aspirations than returning my children back to a Dickensian lifestyle of being trapped in rented accommodation beheld to rich landlords. Maybe you don’t like your grandchildren, I don’t know. When a lot of old people die, there properties need quite a lot spending in them to bring them up to a modern standard. For sex crimes or just crime? Trans are 4 times more likely to be a victim of sex based crimes than someone born into the same sex. Plus look at the cover ups some demographics benefit from. The police especially. When you hear a case such as Wayne Cousins it’s unbelievable that he was allowed to an officer in the first place let alone the protection he got as an officer. The wives of police officers are also far more likely to be the victims of domestic abuse than average. There’s significantly more trans sex offenders in prison than any of those categories I’m afraid.
What data is this based on?When a lot of old people die, there properties need quite a lot spending in them to bring them up to a modern standard. Developers / landlords and the like seem keener to do that than private buyers for owner occupation.

My post is based on the same as most of yours: personal observation locally. TBF its mainly been bungalows. What data is this based on?
Purely anecdotal but where I live the vast majority of properties that come on the market are due to a death. The ones sold to owner occupiers then see a never ending parade of tradespeople for the next few months as the property is modernised. The ones that appear on the rental market have the bare minimum done to ensure they meet legal reuiqrements and are on the market asap. And once someone is in you can forget much in the way of maintenance.
For example my neighbour has rented for years, doesn't cause the landlord any bother but when something needs doing that is the landlords responsibility it takes months to get done and is then done by a mate of the landlord to a shit standard. Of course he could move, except its near impossible to find anywhere round here to rent as the endless "does anyone know any rentals coming up" posts on the local Facebook group show.
I moved here 8 years ago, at that point a plan to build a large number of homes nearby was several years in. To date there's zero sign of any work actually starting to build them yet demand for housing in the area continues to increase.
Interesting. Kind of supports my concern about risks of letting trans women in to “women only spaces”.Sex crimes. Mostly because offenders use it as a way to get better treatment because it’s unfalsifiable. But there’s no evidence trans women commit sex crimes at any lower rate than any other man, research shows no difference in offending patter post transition.
Yes of course it does. State schools have been chronically under funded for a decade. School building plan being drawn up now. There will have to be more investment in schools to accommodate those no longer in private education.
Does more always equal better?
By woke crusade you mean being more concerned about the problem areas where my daughters are more likely to be effected by. My daughters are 15 and 17 and are yet to be harassed by the trans community, both on the other hand have been subjected to harassment by toxic masculinity and incel repeatedly. Woke actually just means you’re aware of the issues in the world. I don’t deny that there’s a conversation to be had about women’s safety around elements of the Trans community but it doesn’t start with triggered people like yourself. Especially when there are far more bigger threats to women you're happy to ignore.Interesting. Kind of supports my concern about risks of letting trans women in to “women only spaces”.
Tony seems to be on a bit of a woke crusade on this.
I didn’t say I am happy to ignore anything. Triggered is such a pejorative term.By woke crusade you mean being more concerned about the problem areas where my daughters are more likely to be effected by. It's the EU following the same path as the UK ironicallySurely farmers protesting is the definition of business as usual in Europe?
Very much and the same happening in the furnished lettingsHow much you can spend on what in relation to which earnings?
Buy to let is already a lot less attractive proposition than it was 20 years ago.
Where did you get the figures? There’s significantly more trans sex offenders in prison than any of those categories I’m afraid.
Where did you get the figures?
Very triggering @skybluetony176These I assume
Transgender women criminality shows male pattern | Fair Play For Women
Transgender women in prison exhibit a male-type pattern of criminality, new data confirms. Crimes match birth sex not gender identity. So....fairplayforwomen.com
It was shmmee saying the prison population figures than the criminalityThese I assume

Thank youI mean to be fair I don’t have the figures for the other groups but they’re smaller and don’t have people identifying into them for personal gain.
Data here: https://committees.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/18973/default/
Study on criminality post transition here: Long-Term Follow-Up of Transsexual Persons Undergoing Sex Reassignment Surgery: Cohort Study in Sweden
The likelihood is its people pretending to be trans to get better treatment. But that’s the entire problem with allowing some men into women’s prisons based on their word alone.
