Hope Starmer has something to say about the borders bill which is more important in reality than whether the PM office had a party 12 months ago.

Probably consulting one of his spreadsheets to find out if Starmer once held a house party in his teens without the consent of his parents and so thus has no right to criticise the Downing St party as he's a massive hypocrite

PMQs is only of any real interest to people who already like politics

Things like ant and dec repeatedly putting the boot in will have a greater effect but in the end his own party will bring him down

Johnson also questioned about whether a party happened on the date Cummings left but says no and and then said if it did happen all rules will have been followed. Basically the same path of bullshit that he's peddled for the 18th December party.

There was a Christmas party at number 10 on 18th December 2020 when everybody else was locked away , unable to see family, loved ones dying and they broke the very rules they set .

Now there's potentially another 2 parties ..

Denial atm to be fair , there is evidence it happened

Downing Street hosted three parties while everyone was locked down and told they couldn't visit dying relatives:

November 13 2020 Carrie/Boris flat party
December 18 2020 Downing Street party
Christmas Quiz (date unclear)

Seems that the reason this may have initially received limited press coverage is potentially due to members of the press being at the parties in question. Johnson says parties didn't take place but if they did no rules were broken. Given the rules at the time hard to see how that can possibly be true. Media appearances by members of the government are being cancelled in case they are asked about the parties.

Government have said the reports will be investigated by Cabinet Secretary Simon Case but they have refused to deny he was at one or more of the parties himself. The issue was referred to the met who have said they don't investigate crimes that took place in the past. At literally the same time they were saying that there was a court hearing taking place with a member of the public being charged with holding a party in breach of covid regulations which was allegedly held at the same time as the Downing Street party.

There's also video of them joking about how the party wasn't socially distanced and wouldn't be investigated.

Complete wankers.

I saw the PM of Finland went clubbing when she should have been isolating too. Said she left her phone at home and didn't realise she had to stay indoors. Smells like BS to me.

How do they expect people to accept rules and regulations when they keep breaking them? I've always thought that Cummings Castle visit was a turning point for the publics backing on a lot of their covid policies.
