I’m holding out hope that 775 isn’t a true representative sample size
Surely even their membership when they see her in action over an extended period would change their minds?

Can't even waffle pompously and pseudo intellectually like Johnson!

Still time for Sunak to miss out then. He's not picked up dramatically from his starting point.

This really is why politicians are ultimately useless

If a zombie CEO was looking at power as the shareholders rather like them the Board would have a word and say they’d all resign and call a no confidence motion

No party on the planet should have ever elected Corbyn or should Truss but I guess I’ll enjoy the tax breaks for a couple of years - perhaps she can promise the SDP a referendum in 2025 and get them onside

He should be comfortably in the final two but they’ll be a massive Johnson gang push for members to vote Truss (who I think will get through). As I mentioned yesterday rumours that Patel and Wallace might come out in support of Truss either before tomorrows vote or if Truss gets to final two. Wallace would be big as he’s well thought of by members according to previous polling

Shame Sunak doesn't need more votes at this point.
Makes it easier to manipulate the remainder into either of the other two's camp I think.

Can’t see him picking up many from Badenoch, certainly not enough to lend Mordaunt a few.

So weird how a Remain voting former Lib Dem is the darling of the Tory right.

Will embolden the 2nd referendum brigade, (they're already saying if she can change her mind why can't everyone else).

Make Brexit the big(ger) issue again - maybe, just a guess.

Yeah, it’s been said by a couple of presenters on LBC tonight that he’s got his supporters voting for Truss as he’d rather face her than Mordant in final two.

Can understand where he’s coming from, from a personal perspective so would I if I was him (although disagree with tactical voting), but that’s a massive risk for the rest of us !

Surely, *surely* he makes mincemeat of her in any debate?!?

Call me old fashioned, but I want to vote on competent leaders, and it be about policy and ideology.

Well yes, but doesn't matter whether it's Truss or Johnson - the Tory leader is not competent.

Truss is utterly hopeless, but I don't see things being any worse under her than Johnson (can they get any worse!?).

So I'll happily trade a year of Truss for a significant positive change afterwards.

You’d think so but heard the voting papers are sent out before a lot of the hustings take place so loads could vote on current views…which is not good for Sunak !
Well what's the point of that?!?

They always surprised me - just when I think they can't find a worse leader...
