you have every right to do so, just wondered what the link between the 2 was

It was a facetious comment relating to Reeves saying the opposite to apparent policy on rail nationalisation. Her excuse that she didn't hear properly seems weak to anybody who has listened to what she said and some of the mixed messages issued subsequently.

I get why they’ve gone clean slate but they’ve handled it really poorly and it seems to be reactive after the comments rather than proactive so you can’t really blame people for being confused as to whether the 2019 manifesto still stands as a starting point.

Unfortunate behaviour from you, O'Day, ADM and anybody who joins in this childish nonsense really. How about following the example of the adults (yes, even some Tories) and starting afresh.

You do realise “David” has made well over 1,000 posts about me - I think it’s near 2,000 - referencing the fact I have no job I’ve lied about my career I have no family I a spend my life in a homeless shelter?

He also said he’d find me and kick my head in?

Hes said another poster is a thick farmer, another some pissed up racist wanker who smells of cheese and lied about being a teacher (he also implied violence against him - “I know who you are”) and another is a fat c**t whose never had a job.

That’s the world of David. He’s a snarling embittered moron - he has no place on here

He’s now whining about me and ADM ganging up on him. He can fuck off.

Oh and all this started when the Sinn Fein suck up said I was in the Litten tree at 7 am when I pointed out his mate Starmer had fired Rayners boyfriend

I realise he's a cock if he's done that, but can't you all stop it? It's very tedious to read through, when now and again it actually broke into a proper political discussion.

Be the bigger man, then, if you feel that - let him whine and don't give him the ammo, and then everyone's happy whenever he burns himself out, no? Because this ain't a one-off, this is a period of, well... years now, innit, and over a number of threads too. If it was just this one, at least it's politics, if shitty politics! I mean, even you and PVA stick to this one for your bickering! And it does seem you and ADM do a spot of tag teaming. So be the bigger people. You can think someone a cock after all.

I’m sorry I still don’t get the obsession with abandoning the ideas in the 2019 manifesto. There were some good ideas in there - that a leader with the skills that Corbyn apparently lacked could have taken on.
And before you inevitably come back with the ‘Corbyn was toxic’ rubbish he was no more toxic than Labour going all in on a second referendum platform.

I'd say a better leader who actually believed in a second referendum would have actually communicated the message on that, whereas Corbyn got grumpy and decided he'd fuck himself off... a bit like he did in the original referendum debate, in fact.

But that's by the by. I'd say 2017's (rather than 2019's) manifesto weren't half bad tbh, and I personally would be taking that as my starting point - maybe moderating some bits, bit not throwing it all out.

There’s little point in debating in but I do think your political leanings prejudice your standpoint.

I mean, you say “if he’s done that” - that in itself is absolute nonsense - you know full well what he’s like and frankly if he’s the Coventrian you’d be over him

As for @PVA you constantly abused @SkyBlueDom26 purely as you thought he was stupid and Tory. PVA is very stupid and backs Labour. He I would guess is the same age as Dom but as he adopts the left mantra it’s all fine despite the fact he clearly is a really stupid easily manipulated individual. So I laugh at him and that’s bickering but you often would abuse Dom - as did O Day - and he ended up leaving the forum

Others have left the forum as they have also been laughed at, threatened and abused.

No football forum would really allow O Day on it. I actually don’t care as he’s a sad spineless twat but he offers nothing

Tony - who I know sends pathetic DMs to people trying to egg them on - why is he allowed on here? He’s sent over 1,000 messages since May 5th - the last time he actually vaguely posted about CCFC (it was something about Dion Dublin) - but constantly acts as a sad rabble rouser. He’s pointless on a football forum.

No one really wants a politics section on here. They want an exclusive section where the like minded - and in certain cases the feeble minded - just have a jolly time in their left field minds

The “bickering” hardly has much impact anyway as it’s mainly restricted to off topic which very few bother with

I’d actually ban the whole element if it and make everyone talk pure ccfc for a few months. That I think would solve the problem

i mean he was and we’ve got data to prove it. And regardless Starmer has also distanced himself from a second referendum.

I’d say more the 2017 than 2019 manifesto, but I’d agree. And if the left could find someone better than Burgon or Sultana to front it I think it’s a winning manifesto. But I also get Starmers strategy right now and all I’m saying is he’s allowed to try it, it’s not bat shit so let’s see where it goes. Corbyns strategy had people questioning and 2017 shut them up (until he got ahead of himself and 2019 proved them right).

If the left force a leader out now (not that they could) then it’ll be “we never tried the moderate approach”, just like if Corbyn had been forced out in 2016. Do what the right failed to do in it’s time out of leadership and groom some decent candidates and polish your policy offering. But sitting there after masterminding the worse post war defeat, with the same faces and ideas that led you there, whining the person ahead in the polls isn’t doing it how you’d like is more than a little ridiculous.

There was no support for a second referendum in large parts of the country, it would not have done Labour any favours. The seats it lost were mostly leave voting places after all, 60 seats lost of which I think 8 or 9 were remain seats. The party did win 1 other remain seat (Putney). The metropolitan areas it held were often remain voting too.

pretty much the 2nd referendum campaign was a disaster for labour

corbyn still came up on the doorstep and strangely did in 2021 as well

Didn't Ed Miliband try the Starmer approach already? Have said plenty of times, I'd like to see Burnham given a shot at the right time, which realistically isn't till 2024 at the earliest. Credible, very popular in northern England, more straight talking than the hot mess in 2015, experience of running one of the largest cities in the country, and seems at ease with people outside of Parliament.

A bit of me wonders whether he’s up for it or if he’s enjoying himself as Mayor too much. But yeah someone like him would be perfect. Says a lot that we need to look outside Parliament though. We really need a decent influx of MPs at the next election.

I have my doubts about him, wasn't convincing when he had the chance and, much like Ed Milliband, once the shackles are off he comes alive and looks more convincing once he's out the system.

Said it before and I'll say it again - sack the advisors who try and turn people into Blair clones. Of course you should take note of what won Blair elections, but he's one personality and others are, well, others.

Again, you're looking to the past. Stop bleating on about the past and if you're going to call someone a cock, at least do it for what they're doing now rather than shouting IRA IRA like a spoilt little child.

I don't mind arguing with you on the politics section - you're (generally!) even quite polite to me(!)

Now seems a good time to ask ...

Theres an election tomorrow, what Labour policy and change do you want, why should someone vote for them (and I don't mean let's give huge pay rises to any union led movement/public sector workers or pretend to love the NHS becauseI the nasty Tories are dismantling it). Genuine changes you'd make (and fk climate control I don't want to hear it we're pissing in the wind with that over here). It can't all be spend spend spend and 'we must be better than them'. Convince me.
