I'm a little behind the curve here. Has someone created a username 'deleted account' or is that how it's showing after the poster has gone as I thought normally their posts were deleted? I've just read Marcus, is that confirmed or speculation?

It was marcusp or whatever, I saw it, with the anti wasps van logo, if you try and mention him now he’s gone.

Anyway Rachel Reeves has come out and said that it's the government's fault for not deporting enough people quickly

And she's probably got a point.

What she's saying is not remotely close to what Braverman is saying.

You've either not read her comments properly or, more likely, are just doing your usual schtick of accusing Labour of being as bad as these fascists because... well I'm not sure why.

Is the left position now that people shouldn’t have their asylum claims processed quickly and those found not to have a valid claim shouldn’t be deported?

Who knew that processing asylum claims in a timely manner is as heinous as strapping people into a plane and sending them 5000 miles away to a country with human rights issues.

I've read her comments I'm just a bit bemused as to why she thinks the problem is not deporting people quickly enough

The ‘optics’ are a bit odd. Focusing on inefficient deportation seems to be far removed from the root cause of the problem.

Yeah I guess so. Just don't think it's in anyway comparable to what Braverman has been saying that's all.
Is her point that the inefficient processing of claims means all asylum seekers are left waiting for far too long and if the system was more efficient you wouldn't have to have such unworkable gimmicks such as the rwanda plan.

surely no one thinks bogus claimants should stay? That's an unworkable and electoral vote destroying pov

Is her definition of a bogus claimant the same as the Tory one then?
