I doubt it’ll be in Moss Side or Blackpool either.

I quite like Birmingham as a political capital.
Well when I said I'd use it as a regeneration tool for areas I was hardly talking Worsley or Bowden was I.

My boards report published today

hard work on top of job but at least feels like some of what we do makes a difference

Critical stuff, mate. We can't lock them all up forever, and performative cruelty is just going to make them worse than when they went in.

If you can just get some of them on the right path, it'll save everyone a bit of pain and money in the long run. That's a tough sell to the Daily Mail, obviously! 🙂

Funny I saw I’d been quoted in the sun express and mail

That from the last paragraph about the ombudsman would be quite lengthy process no?
The process is simple, but takes a lot of time, yeah.

Having worked for the FOS, I have to say, they are run by very good people who know it could and should be more efficient.

1500 a year, I suppose there are people who spend more than that on clothes. Not me. But 75k?

The foreign secretary, David Lammy, has suggested it is routine for political donors to pay for outfits for prime ministers and their spouses, in a row over the late declaration of funds for a personal shopper and clothes for Keir Starmer’s wife, Victoria.

The donations by the Labour donor Waheed Alli, which paid for clothing for Victoria Starmer, were not initially declared in the register of MPs’ interests, the Sunday Times reported. The gift was registered late, after Starmer approached the parliamentary authorities on Tuesday following advice.

In an interview for the BBC, Lammy said donations were accepted so the Labour leader and his wife could “look their best”.

Now I did not know this, wonder who paid for Maggie's handbags?

I have to say it's funny really, Labour spent their entire campaign telling the left to get fucked and courting the undecided / Tory vote

I hate to break this to you but every Labour government ever will do this as it’s basic general election strategy. If you want your tummy tickled by parties of government you’ve picked the wrong politics. Same as the fringe right are about to find out.

You know that’s not the scandal right?

The scandal is he registered it late. Not that it was bought in the first place.
I know that it’s the late registration that is the scandal.

However, it is also scandalous that in the first place the millionaire Starmer thought receiving new clothes and glasses to the value of several years state pension followed by issuing a Downing Street pass to the donor would be seen as being acceptable.

I want him and Reeves to resign their positions and two people with their heads screwed on to replace them. We can’t afford for this to be a one term government followed by another monster Tory majority.

Where are you going to find even one person with their head screwed on?
